When you are in the Mirage, you will be able to interact with the purple mechanical structure .The Gaze of the Deep is a puzzle where you will have to realign all the structures within the area. In order to do so you will have to interact with the Gaze of the Deep while looking in a specific direction. You will have an enlarged version of the structure, with a bit of the structure misaligned. This structure can be from walls, to bridges and stairs, practically anything.
So move the lens and zoom in to connect the misaligned piece with the structure. The screen will glow purple when the structure is aligned.
There are several misaligned structures in Mirage, which you will need to repair to complete the mission.
