As previously reported the Device event took place at Fortnite on June 15, just two days before the end of Chapter 2: Season 2., during the event, the device If you did not reach the Midas Doomsday event , it emerged from under the Agency and completely destroyed the building.
Another thing that happened was that the hatches surrounding the Agency opened and deployed giant electrical conductors of a type that absorbed electricity from the Doomsday device. Each of the drivers fired a bolt of electricity into the storm and turned it into some kind of giant tidal wave.
If you want to see this new panorama, you can do it queuing in a game as usual. Once you board the battle bus, you will find that it now flies over a giant body of water, with a carved space for the map. Additionally, players caught in the storm will now be able to swim back to dry land instead of running.
Following this event, Epic Games' plans are unknown, but rumors suggest they are planning a new story with a company that appears to be trying to control the storm.
Other things that may catch your attention in the aftermath of the event were that participants were randomly teleported to an office building, where they were able to hear a phone call between Agent Jonesy and an unknown third party. It is not entirely clear whether Jonesy's company is the good guys or the bad guys, but it will be discovered later.
On the other hand, if you are still interested in the challenges, they still have a few days to complete the remaining challenges in Chapter 2: Season 2. Once the new season launches, all the challenges and rewards of Season 2 will be eliminated.
