If what you want is harmful magic, the best are the Magician and the Priest. But the Royalty class and Temple Knight can also perform restorative miracles.

In case you use the Magician you will see that the characters will start with the appropriate equipment and spells that will allow you to cast and use magic immediately.

For the magician, you will get Flame Toss and Water Veil from the beginning and you can use them right away along with the Wooden Catalyst.
