Once you manage to capture your Temtem, you will be able to modify its name, this option is located on the right side of the screen, just below its statistics.  By changing the name of the Temtem to the one you like, it will be kept even when your character evolves.

The answer is yes, so if at the time of capturing Temtem you don't change its name because you forgot it or simply because you didn't feel like it, don't contact the option to change it during the course of the story.  This happens even when you log in from a provider's computer.  So we recommend that you do it from the beginning in case you want to customize your character.
