In this guide post we explain How To Improve Attraction Prestige in Planet Coaster 2.

Your final Park Rating in Planet Coaster 2 is based on four primary measures, one of which is called Attraction Prestige. The overall health of your park in Planet Coaster 2 is reflected in your Park Rating, calculated as a star value by averaging four ancillary statistics: the Scenery Rating, Attraction Variety, Park Reputation, and Attraction Prestige.

Of these four, arguably the toughest to level up is Attraction Prestige. Guests' satisfaction with a park can be improved serving them better, the scenery can be improved adding more things into the scenery, and the variety of the gamer's attractions can be raised simply by buying new ones. Players of Planet Coaster 2 will have to learn where does the Ride Prestige come from and how their customizations impact it, if they are ever to increase the Attraction Prestige.

How To Improve Attraction Prestige in Planet Coaster 2?

By adding more prestigious rides, attracting tourists and impressing them will get much easier.

The prestige of your attractions is a main part of your Park Rating and an indication of how popular each ride is. The two go hand in hand, really, with your Park Rating Attraction Prestige based on the total of your personal Attraction Prestige for all rides. When you click on any given ride, it will have a Prestige listed under one of the default tabs, either Summary or Prestige.

According to Planet Coaster 2, the "appeal and value of an attraction" to guests determines the Ride Prestige. In other words, this depends on adding to the Ride Experience statistic the Scenery Bonus from the neighborhood scenery.

Park Attraction Prestige can be seen on the Park Rating area of the Park Management screen. Highlighting "Attraction Prestige", there are three statistics to see: first, the amount of Attraction Prestige stars you have achieved; second, the total amount of points that you have acquired-the sum of all the Ride Prestige numbers; and third, the amount of points you require to achieve the next star for this Park Rating measure.

Increasing your Ride Prestige in Planet Coaster 2 will raise your Attraction Prestige, which will increase the amount players are willing to spend at your park. This is a great metric to target if you want to rapidly increase profits since the more renowned your park, the more money your visitors will spend.

Planet Coaster 2: How to Boost Your Attraction Prestige

The more popular a ride becomes over time, the higher its Prestige rating will go. Whereas prime-of-life rides are the icons of your park, twilight years rides are no longer exciting to visitors and won't attract many new guests to your park. You'll want to replace rides in your park once they have reached the "Old" age rating if you're going to maximize the Attraction Prestige of your park.

You are allowed to modify only the Reputation for a ride, whereas you can increase the prestige for an attraction by having a say in its Ride Experience and Scenery Bonus.

Improving Journey Quality

The Ride Experience encompasses three ride statistics: Excitement, Fear, and Nausea. It also includes price point, queue duration, and perceived value for money. Therefore, custom-designed rides demand extra attention to the metadetails and construction details for maximum attraction prestige.

For a roller coaster as long and complex as it can be, the scores will not be that much greater than for a good, well-designed, and optimized flat ride.

The easiest way to give the Guest an even better sense of a ride's price point is by enabling Dynamic Prices. Prices will automatically go from lowest to highest point, based on demand and wait times. Adjusting the pricing to Budget-or making it free-is one of the easy ways to bump up its Prestige, and thus its popularity, if cash flow isn't an issue.

Set rides to have a maximum number of cars possible or set to go off when every seat is full to optimize queue time. More visitors will ride your attraction, and with Dynamic pricing ON, you shouldn't see waits impacted. Long trips reduce the turnover and profit of a ride and help to create long queues as well; shorter journeys obviously generate less Prestige than longer ones.

Coasters and other custom built rides can be as intense as you'd like without being too nauseating or terrifying when you use the editor to iron out rough edges and high G-spots. Nausea and fear ratings that are red highlighted will indicate most, if any, guests will not enjoy your ride.

Scenic Bonus Increasing Methods

Scenery Bonus is one of the two metrics that go into an attraction's Prestige. This statistic is created by adding up the Scenery Score of all the items in the Scenery Group that your Ride is a part of. First select the scenery item that you want to include in the ride's Scenery Group, and then just drag it over the ride to start the Scenery Group editor. Everything you add into the Scenery object will count toward the Scenery Bonus of this attraction until you quit this group selection tool and the screen borders turn normal again.

For every ride, there is a maximum potential scoring of 500 Bonus Scenery points. Basically, it works on the premise of getting 1 point every 20 Scenery Score, after a bonus. When you reach 10,000 Scenery Score, you will no longer be adding more scenery elements to the Scenery Bonus of the ride.

To increase the Scenery Score of a custom ride, access Custom Scenery menu in the Scenery tab; however, for most Attractions, including blueprint coasters and flat rides, the Scenery Score is high by default. So before you start designing, be careful to choose the ride group that needs more scenery.

Meanwhile, the Ride Experience is critical and can be well in excess of 500 Prestige whereas the Scenery Bonus is always capped, variable and seldom easy to maximize. You can easily drop your Prestige on a ride up by several stars just by hitting the pause button on a ride and decorating it, whereas the Scenery Bonus takes only a few minutes of fiddling around with the objects nearby to maximize your bonus.
