In the world of Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound, cosmetic customization isn't just a simple menu option; it's a reward for mastering the game. Outfits are earned through a series of challenging feats, from completing the game on higher difficulties to achieving perfect S-ranks on every mission. This approach makes each new costume a badge of honor, a testament to your skill and dedication.Here is a complete guide to unlocking every single outfit for both Kenji and Kumori.

Unlocking Kenji's Costumes

Kenji, the game's protagonist, has five outfits in total. Aside from his default costume, there are four additional ones that challenge you to push your skills to their limits.

Costume	Unlock Requirement
Default	Available from the start.
Classic Ninja	Finish the game on Normal difficulty.
Mugen Tenshin Ninja	Complete mission 5-1, which is only available on Hard difficulty.
The Penitent One	Collect 60 Crystal Skulls while playing on Hard Mode.
Golden Shadow	Complete the game on Normal difficulty with an S-rank (or better) on every single stage.

Unlocking Kumori's Costumes

Kumori, the second playable character, also has a wardrobe of five outfits, each with a unique unlock requirement that mirrors Kenji's but with a slightly different twist for one of the most challenging skins.

Costume	Unlock Requirement
Default	Available from the start.
Black Spider Uniform	Finish the game on Normal difficulty.
Runaway Ninja	Complete mission 5-1, which is only available on Hard difficulty.
Biker Style	Collect 60 Crystal Skulls while playing on Hard Mode.
Golden Assassin	Complete the game on Hard difficulty with an S-rank (or better) on every single stage.

Tips for Achieving S-Ranks

The Golden Shadow and Golden Assassin outfits require you to achieve S-ranks, which can be a significant challenge. However, you can use special Talismans to help boost your rank at the cost of a disadvantage. These are often necessary for players aiming for the toughest S-rank requirements.

Talisman	Effect
No Rest for the Wicked	Death brings you back to the beginning of the stage. Rank is increased by 1.
Perilousness	Damage received is tripled. Rank is increased by 1.
Unworthy	Checkpoints do not recover health. Rank is increased by 1.
Scarcity	Health orbs are removed from levels. Rank is increased by 1.

It's important to note that Crystal Skulls are not just collectibles; they directly contribute to your progress toward unlocking outfits like "The Penitent One" and "Biker Style." Furthermore, achieving a rank higher than S, such as S++, does not unlock any additional secret outfits. While unlocking every costume may not grant you a dedicated achievement, the satisfaction of conquering these demanding challenges is a reward in itself.
