How to find the Parasol in PEAK

In PEAK, the Mesa biome presents a constant threat from the sun's burning heat. The parasol is a highly valuable, multi-functional item that can protect you from this environmental hazard and save you from lethal falls. It is a rare find, but its unlimited uses and durability make it an essential item for surviving the harsh desert.

Where to Find the Parasol

Parasols are considered a rare item in PEAK, and their appearance is based on chance. To find one, you must search luggage bags, which are scattered throughout the game world. While parasols can be found in any biome, you are most likely to find one in the Mesa biome due to its constant heat.

• Location: Parasols are found inside luggage bags.
• Best Strategy: Your best chance of finding a parasol is to open as many luggage bags as possible. Brightly colored bags, particularly white and orange ones, seem to have a slightly higher chance of containing one, but this is not guaranteed.
• Durability: The parasol is not as fragile as other items. If a nearby dynamite explosion goes off, it will be "well-done" but will still be fully functional for the rest of your playthrough.

How to Use the Parasol

The parasol has two primary uses that are critical for survival in the Mesa biome.

• Sun Protection: When you have the parasol open, it provides complete protection fromthe sun's burning effects in the Mesa biome. You will not take anyheat-related damage as long as the parasol is open. Be aware that youwill close it automatically if you attempt to climb or switch to another item.
• Gliding and Fall Damage Mitigation: Theparasol also functions as a makeshift glider. If you are falling,opening the parasol will slow your descent, allowing you to land safelywithout taking any damage. This is an incredibly useful feature fortraversing the treacherous vertical terrain and can save your life fromwhat would otherwise be a fatal fall. The parasol has infinite durability and unlimited uses, making it a permanent and reliable tool once you find it.
