How To Get Rid of Clawmaidens in Hollow Knight Silksong

The Clawmaidens in Hollow Knight: Silksong are notoriously difficult and frustrating enemies. These spider-like creatures relentlessly pursue Hornet, leeching Silk from her with every hit. What makes them particularly annoying is their seemingly infinite spawn rate within a specific room in the Citadel. If you've found yourself stuck in this area and want to get rid of them for good, there is a way to do so by accessing a secret area.

Silksong: How To Get Rid of Clawmaidens

Getting to the Clawmaidens' Room

The Clawmaidens' room is located in the High Halls region of the Citadel. To get there, start from the bench in The Forums and head left. Once you're in the High Halls, go up from the entrance and into the room above. In this next room, take an immediate left to another room.In this new room, proceed all the way to the left until you reach a dead end. Here you will find a cart. You need to hit this cart to push it into the middle of the room. Use the cart as a platform and jump up into the room above. You’ll find a gate here; interact with it to enter the dreaded Clawmaidens' room.

Getting Rid of the Clawmaidens for Good

The key to stopping the infinite spawns of the Clawmaidens is not to defeat them all, but to destroy their "power source." This is located in ahidden area above their room. To access it, you will need to utilize the carts within the room itself.

• Enter the Clawmaidens' room.
• Ignore the endless stream of Clawmaidens for now and focus on your goal. Runpast the first cart you see and head toward the right side of the room,where you will find a second cart.
• Push this second cart toward the right end of the room. As you do, you'llsee a distinct crack in the ceiling with light shining through. Yourobjective is to position the cart directly under this crack.
• While you are pushing the cart, you will be swarmed by Clawmaidens. Remember, your goal is to move the cart, not to kill them all. Stay mobile, dodge their attacks, and hit them when you can, but do not get sidetracked.
• Once the cart is in position, use it as a platform and double-jump to reachthe ceiling. Attack the ceiling to break it open and create a passage to the room above.
• Head up into this new area and attack the first lever you see. This will unlock a second room containing another lever.
• Attack the second lever to open the final room. Inside, you will find amassive bundle of silk—the source of the Clawmaidens' power.
• Destroy this bundle of silk. As soon as you do, the Clawmaidens in the roombelow will all be defeated, and they will no longer spawn in this area,making your journey through the Citadel much easier.
