Battlefield V is a first-person shooter and action video game developed by EA DICE (Digital Illusions Creative Entertainment, a subsidiary of Electronic Arts), and distributed by Electronic Arts. This installment returns with the atmosphere of World War II, in addition to including the Battle Royale mode, with which they make a good mix between that world and that of the Battle Royale genre, as well as including interesting details about other games with this modality.

Through a trailer of Battlefield V: Firestorm, many features that this release will offer and above all, what Battle Royale mode offers are revealed. In this modality you can see the rain of bullets, the use of squads and vehicles to cause more chaos. In addition, you can also detail certain characteristics that the map will present, such as its Firestorm to reduce the area.

Halvøy the now largest map in the history of the Battlefield franchise

Let's start talking about the map. Battlefield V: Firestorm brings Halvøy with him, it is the largest map created so far for the franchise, since it is said that this is 10 times more extensive compared to the previous one, Hamada. This was confirmed by a series of tweets published by the official account of Battlefield V, in which, in fact, they show the shaded area on which they base the map.

Players and peculiarities of Firestrom

The monstrous map admits 64 players, being able to divide up to 16 squads of four players. At the same time, it is said that it allows you to choose between the variants of "single" or "squadron". Once the players fall into Halvøy's terrain, it is closed by the Firestorm, which forms a circle that reduces the area where the action takes place. An interesting peculiarity of the Firestorm circle is that it will cover 2/3 of the map in each round (starting from the first), so you should go taking different locations.

More than facing enemies: Replenishment objectives

In addition to the immense chaos of destroying enemies, as usual, there are also replenishment objectives that you can take (that is, your attention should not only focus on destroying your enemies, but also on taking these points so that strategically it is more simple, everything). These points will appear spontaneously on the map, turning small circles into flash points. You can capture one of these in the middle of the negative attention of other players to be rewarded with boxes of boots that open, bringing with it better weapons and vehicles that will help you a lot to survive. Another less violent replenishment measure, but less beneficial of course, is to find cracking safety boxes that will contain boots and are scattered on the map.

Vehicles and their peculiarities

This Battle Royale mode of Battlefield V, Firestrom, also includes the main vehicles of the game. In total there are 17, including proto-helicopters, tanks and even tractors (as seen in the trailer).

For lovers of the Panzer 38 (t) tank, they are hidden in bunkers and at the same time they have two features: the doors must be opened manually and when they open, sirens are activated to warn and attract nearby enemies. Another detail in terms of vehicles, is that they must remain loaded with fuel to keep moving. In this way, it ensures that they can not be charged during the whole game without taking risks (it would be too simple).

Result

Based on these few but interesting details, as shown in the trailer, it can be considered that this Battle Royale mode of Battlefield V Firestrom will satisfy many fans.

According to the trailer shared by the official Youtube channel of Battlefield V, the release date will be March 25 this year 2019.
