If something we have been able to realize is that not all the time
Nintendo manages to adapt to the streams of technology that have been evolving little by little, as when it was the latest technology to adapt
video games online, it seemed that it was also going to happen the same with the case of
Virtual Reality technology. But this time they did not want to be the last to do something that everyone had already done.
Then they made the launch of
Labo VR, which is the fourth kit in its growing line of
DIY toys /
games. Despite not being something so sophisticated anymore,
Labo VR will be very interesting if you are creative enough.
Nintendo Labo - Toy-Con 04: VR Kit
Donate: buy me a coffeeWhat does Labo VR include?
The VR kit from Nintendo comes along with its own game card and an assortment of cardboard sheets, stickers, rubber bands and other craft materials, as we've seen in previous Lab packages, this allows you to build game consoles with your own hands, fact that more than one and personally has trapped us.
The complete set of projects includes the
Blaster,
Bird,
Camera,
Elephant and
Wind Pedal, and of course they are accompanied by
VR glasses that work together with other pots. The glasses have the
console and the
switch slot in almost all other
Toy-Cons.
The configuration does not require any other hardware or additional accessory for its perfect operation, as it has achieved other VR headsets.
To start with the Nintendo Virtual Reality adventure, slide the Switch on the VR Glasses, then insert it into the Toy-Con you want to use, simple, very simple and we love it.
Although the switch caused us noise to be on top of the viewfinder that is finally cardboard, but we have been able to test them, and they feel more solid than many could expect, in addition all Toy-Con have a lock on the safety caps to avoid Unfortunate accidents with the console.
Even so, parents should be careful to be their children using the kit, we say, just to avoid any accidental exit of the console and accidents with the Toy-Cons.
VR experience
The Labo VR kit has a more limited virtual reality experience as it does not have additional cameras or input devices, which in turn brings many positive points, such as tracking the head of a fairly accurate head. If you need to calibrate the switch, just place it on a flat surface and press the button on the screen.
Some of the games we played with the Labo VR kit presented some problems, and they did not offer much depth, we did not like it at all, however, the games we tried were quite interesting, the Toy-Contr will surely be the pileup number one that your acquaintances are going to want to try and in general the fans of Nintendo Shitch will want to have.
Blaster let us see a simple game with light weapons on rails where you will have to shoot an army of aliens.
Bird let us see an incredible video game of players who fly over an island in search of pups to feed, in addition with the Toy-Con camera you can take pictures of marine life in a fairly simple but interesting game of underwater photography.
Elephant, motivated us an art program, of drawing, in 3D when maneuvering his trunk, but the limitations of movement made this one that we liked the least.
The cherry on the cake was put on the wind pedal. Like the Toy-Con pedal, the Labo Vehicle kit is placed on the floor, but when pressed down, a fan moves upward and blows air into the face. The objective of this is to press the order at the right time for the frog to jump on piles of balls that are thrown from mechanical bears.
Nintendo Labo VR also has a mode called VR Plaza, which has 64 virtual reality activities to play, and vary from platforms to puzzles and having the flexible function of Garage of the series you can program and even create your own activities of Labo.
The complete package with the six Toy-Cons will be priced at $ 80, the start game has the Labo software plus the VR headset and Blaster for $ 40.
Additional items are purchased separately for a price of $ 20.
The Nintendo Labo VR kit will be released next month, specifically on April 12.
