The announcement of the new Cloud Streaming service for Google games, Stadia, in the GDC 2019 left many things open for discussion. While some points were made clear, others were locked away for now, creating a great world of speculation around everything that will be the service. Among all this are the ideas about the price models that Google is going to present in order to have the use of Stadia, since they were not mentioned during the presentation of the GDC 2019.

Due to all the ambience of doubts regarding Stadia, GameSpot got an interview with Google vice president Phil Harrison, to try to clarify some more things. During the interview, a focus was made on the prices that Google plans to present to acquire and enjoy the Stadia system. However, the Harrison only mentioned that a model already exists, but that no details could be given about it, for now; that was something to reveal later.

Another thing that could be obtained from Phil Harrison, during the interview, regarding price models, was the process used to decide it. Also, he mentioned that it was done through a lot of research regarding consumption as well as a diversity of conversations, quite deep, in which the developers and partners were included. "[There were many] very deep conversations with our developers and partner publishers for many months and, in some cases, years, a lot of in-depth research on consumers, we had a fantastic user research team as a central part of the City team for two And so we have our point of view, then we test several hypotheses with consumers and publication partners, and then we get the right result. "

Meanwhile, an interview with Ubisoft's CEO, Yves Guillemot, revealed some of his hypotheses about the alternatives that Google could present as the pricing models for Stadia. He said that there are a variety of options to present, such as purchasing for temporary use of the service or purchase to fully access the game. "... buy at full price and play; or you can also register, possibly, to play an hour or two hours a day. There will be many ways, "he said.

In another focus of the interview, Phil Harrison confirmed that Stadia was not going to allow offline downloads, saying "it was not technically possible" and that this would compromise the "vision" of the project.

According to what Google announced in GDC 2019, for now only two titles have been confirmed to be available in the Stadia service: Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Doom Eternal. However, the launch of Stadia is scheduled for this year 2019 in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and "most" of Europe.
