The no sound error is probably the easiest to fix, unlike other errors in games that are usually related to a code error or other details that are beyond our ability. Anyway, you just need to adjust the language settings of the game and the sound should return.
Now, what you have to do is press the Escape key while you are in the game. Go to Options and click the box next to Language, a drop-down menu will open. Select any language other than the original language and save the changes by pressing Ok. Go back to the same steps again and set your original language. This should effectively resolve the fault and you should hear the sound of the NCPs.
