This ranking system uses four tiers to categorize the viability and raw power of the 20 available weapons in the current build of Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault. Note that as the game is in Early Access, weapon balance and viability are subject to change.

• Tier S (Overpowered): The absolute best weapons available to Will. They possess synergy and effects that render them nearly flawless or provide overwhelming advantage.
• Tier A (Strong & Versatile): Excellent, highly viable weapons that are only a step below Tier S. They have strong perks and clear utility but may possess minor situational downsides.
• Tier B (Functional & Niche): These weapons are perfectly usable and can get the job done, but their passives are mediocre, situational, or present drawbacks that make them less effective than Tier A or S choices.
• Tier C (The Old Broom Tier): Weapons that are generally advised against for serious runs due to low utility or missing core functionality.

Tier S: The Apex Armaments

These weapons redefine their category, often turning major drawbacks into combat advantages.

Aetherium Heart	Large Sword	Ingeniously circumvents the slow speed disadvantage of Large Swords, creating a powerful, rapid-strike weapon. Best melee weapon in the game.
Ultimate Spear	Spear	Solves the core flaw of the Spear’s Special Attack (requiring stationaryenemies). Its heads now track targets, and if enemies are grouped, theSpearheads bounce between them for massive crowd control.
Ultimate Short Sword	Short Sword	Provides an overwhelmingly powerful reward: infinite Special Ammo. While the final special finisher hit takes practice, the reward far outweighs the learning curve.

Tier A: Strong, Reliable, and Highly Recommended

Ultimate Large Sword	Large Sword	Its passive scaling—especially when combined with high Sharpness buffs or a powerful element—results in immense damage. The Special attack hitsmultiple times for great burst potential.
Everlasting Fury	Short Sword	Simple yet highly effective: grants a 50% damage buff against bosses. While less useful for clearing trash mobs, the massive boost against high-health targets is invaluable.
Merchant's Large Sword	Large Sword	Since maintaining a high Sharpness level is relatively easy, the constantdamage boost provided by this perk is highly reliable and strong.
Ray Axe	Short Sword	Its effect is useful, but achieving its maximum potential takes a bit moreeffort compared to the high-value perks of other Short Swords, placingit just at the top of A-Tier.

Tier B: Functional but Flawed
