The world of
Little Nightmares 3 is a place of perpetual shadow and terrifying puzzles, and Chapter 2 is no exception. As protagonists
Low and Alone venture through the grim and often saccharine environment of the Candy Factory (as suggested by the context of this chapter's puzzles), they will inevitably come to a halt at a dark, turned-off elevator, requiring two crucial power sources. To power up the elevator in
Little Nightmares 3 and continue their escape to the next floor, our two heroes must locate and install two glowing batteries (often referred to as fuses or power cells) into the empty sockets beside the lift. This guide will provide a clear, step-by-step walkthrough of exactly where to find the first and second batteries, ensuring Low and Alone can ascend to safety.
Little Nightmares 3: How To Get The Batteries
Part 1: Locating and Retrieving the First Battery
Starting from the broken elevator, the path to the first battery requires teamwork and precise timing, capitalizing on the unique co-op mechanics of Low and Alone.
1. Journey to the Freezer Room
- Go Left: From the elevator, head immediately to the left.
- Enter the Pipe: Jump through the circular window to land inside a huge pipe or vent.
- Proceed: Continue walking in the same direction (left) until you arrive at a large, freezer-like room.
- Obstacle: Your progress will be halted by a rapidly spinning industrial fan, blocking the path to the next area.
2. The Hook and Fan Puzzle
This puzzle relies on the protagonists’ ability to split up and coordinate:
- Low's Position (The Climber): One player (or the AI companion) must climb the high stack of plates or trays located in the middle of the room.
- Alone's Position (The Lever Puller): The other player must jump up onto the left-hand counter and stand next to a lever.
- Activation: Pull the lever to activate a ceiling mechanism that swings a wheel of hooks over the stack of plates.
- The Jump: When the timing is perfect, the player on the stack must jump and latch onto one of the moving hooks.
- Cross Over: Ride the hook across the room and jump down into the safe area behind the spinning fan.
3. Securing the Battery
- Disable the Fan: Once safely on the other side, jump down and take the battery from its socket to immediately cut the power and stop the fan.
- Regroup: Throw the battery (which acts as a fuse/power cell) through the newly opened path where the fan used to be.
- Return to the Elevator: Grab the battery and backtrack the way you came, placing the firstpower cell into one of the empty sockets next to the elevator.
Part 2: Finding and Installing the Second Battery
To find the second battery, you must now explore the area to the right ofthe elevator, which involves a different set of challenges centeredaround stealth and the worker patrolling the area.
1. Entering the Storage Room
- Go Right: Head to the right of the elevator.
- Use Alone's Wrench: You will encounter a door with glass in the lower panel. Use Alone's heavy wrench (a unique tool of this protagonist) to smash the lower glass and enter the room.
2. The Stealth Section
This area is patrolled by a large worker who is stocking shelves, demanding careful movement:
- Climb High: Begin by climbing the stacks of boxes to reach the highest shelf available, then carefully cross the planks.
- Crouch and Wait: Make sure to crouch as you move, paying close attention to the worker who is moving up and down, stocking shelves.
- Make Your Move: Wait for the worker to move up on their route. Once clear, drop down to the boxes below and quickly squeeze through the small gap to the right.
- Partner Up: Wait for your co-op partner (whether human or AI) to follow you through the gap.
3. Retrieving the Final Battery
- The Boost: Low will need to hoist Alone up to the top box in this small room. Alone can then grab the final second battery.
- Exit Safely: With the power cell in hand, head out of the newly opened door, which should now be accessible.
4. Final Approach and Installation
- Bypass the Obstacle: Outside, you will find that the worker has tragically fallen to their death. Approach the body.
- Use the Shelf: Throw the battery over the shelf to the left. Jump over the shelf yourself to grab the power cell on the other side.
- Deal with the Bugs: Walk toward the small cluster of bugs or "Candy Weevils," using thelight emanating from the battery to force them to move out of the way.
- Crawl Back: Crawl under the lower shelf to the left and return directly to the elevator.
Once you place the final battery into the empty socket, the elevator willpower up, granting you and your partner a functioning lift to proceeddeeper into the harrowing landscapes of Chapter 2.Congratulations—you're one step closer to escaping the horrors of theSpiral!
