This comprehensive walkthrough will guide you through every step, from unlocking the encounter to mastering his deadly attack patterns and claiming your legendary rewards.

Unlocking the Encounter: How to Summon the Reaper

Before you can battle this hooded figure, you must first call him forth. The process is a multi-step quest that marks your progression through the game's later stages.

Defeat the Pirate Captain: Your first major hurdle is to defeat the Pirate Captain boss. Your reward is the Deep Ladder Down, a crucial item that grants access to the Deep Caves where Tungsten Ore can be found.

Gather Your Materials: With access to the Deep Caves, mine enough Tungsten Ore to smelt 4x Tungsten Bars. You will also need to collect 8x Ectoplasm and 8x Bones from other enemies and biomes.

Craft the Shadow Gate: Take these materials to a Tungsten Workstation and craft the Shadow Gate, the key item for the summoning ritual.

Travel to the Deep Forest Caves: The summoning must be performed in a specific location. Journey to the Deep Forest Caves and use the Shadow Gate to call the Reaper to battle.

Be prepared for a tough fight, as his health pool scales significantly with your chosen difficulty:

• Casual: 6,000 HP
• Adventure: 9,000 HP
• Classic: 11,000 HP
• Hard: 13,000 HP
• Brutal: 18,000 HP

The Reaper is a boss of distinct phases and patterns. Learning his rhythm is the only path to victory.

Phase One: The Initial Assault
The fight begins aggressively. The Reaper will perform a ramming charge at you four consecutive times. He boasts strong defenses with 30 armor and deals high Collision, Scythe, and Spirit damage, so keeping your distance is key.

After the charge sequence, he switches tactics:

• Reaper Spirits: He summons multiple smaller spirits that home in on your position.Prioritize eliminating these quickly to clear the arena and avoid taking unnecessary damage.
• Scythe Throw: The Reaper will throw his scythe in a boomerang-like arc. Watch its trajectory and dodge to the side to avoid the hit.

Phase Two (Below 50% Health): The True Test
When his health drops to half, the battle intensifies. All of his attacks become more dangerous:

• Faster Ramming: His signature charge attack becomes significantly quicker and harder to evade.
• Portals and Teleportation: During his ramming attacks, he will now conjure two portals that spawnadditional Reaper Spirits before disappearing and reappearing elsewhere.
• Teleporting Scythe: When he throws his scythe, he will now teleport around the arena,making it difficult to track his position and the weapon's return path.

Winning Tip: Focus on movement and crowd control. Create a large, open arena withplatforms before the fight. Use a weapon that can deal damage while youfocus on dodging, such as summoning staves or homing magic. Always clear the Reaper Spirits first—they are your biggest threat in the chaoticsecond phase.
