Having friends in DNA brings much more than just extra names on a list—it unlocks dedicated special co-op missions, opens up shared hub areas, and dramatically enriches your experience through coordinated team play.Teaming up for Commission Dungeons and utilizing the robust multiplayer options is not optional; it’s a key part of how you play the game. This guide will walk you through the essential steps, from meeting the unlock requirements to coordinating your first co-op mission.

Duet Night Abyss: How To Add Friends

Phase 1: Meeting the Unlock Requirements

Before you can access any social features, you must prove yourdedication and progress through the main story. The Friends menu andco-op mode are locked behind specific milestones.

  • Trial Rank Milestone: You must reach Trial Rank 19. This ensures you have a foundational understanding of the game mechanics.
  • Essential Quests: You need to successfully complete the following three key quests:

  • In the Depths of Winter
  • Dedicated Chef
  • The final prerequisite: the main quest Black Iron and White Flower
  • The Unveil: Only after completing the Black Iron and White Flower quest will the Friends menu become visible, and your multiplayer co-op mode will be fully operational.

Phase 2: The Friend Request Protocol

Once the feature is unlocked, the process of adding friends is straightforward, relying on the unique identifier (UID) system.

1. Finding and Sharing Your UID

Your UID is the unique digital tag that other players use to locate and send requests to your character.

  • Open the Menu: From the main screen, tap the Menu icon (usually in the top-left corner).
  • Locate the ID: Your UID will be visible underneath your Phoxhunter’s name and profile picture.
  • Share the Code: Use the dedicated Copy button to instantly grab the code, or write it down. Share this UID with your friends (via external chat, Discord, etc.). Crucially, have them send their UID to you as well, so you can add them back and confirm the connection.

2. Sending a Friend Request

With your friend’s UID in hand, you can initiate the connection.

  • Navigate to Friends: Open the Menu and select the Friends option.
  • Use the Search Field: Select “Add Friend” or the search field provided within the Friends menu.
  • Input the UID: Enter your friend’s UID exactly as it was shared with you.
  • Send: Press the Send button. Your friend will instantly receive a notification of your request.

3. Accepting Incoming Requests

When a friend reaches out to you, you must manually confirm the connection.

  • Check the Queue: Go to MenuFriendsFriend Requests.
  • Review: Select the pending request from your friend.
  • Finalize: Tap Accept. Once both sides have accepted, you will officially see each other on your friend list.

4. The Crucial Server Check

A common pitfall for new players is server misalignment. Duet Night Abyss does not support cross-server friending.

  • Verification: Always ensure that you and your friend have selected the same server/region when logging into the game. If you are on different servers, the system will not allow you to add each other.

Phase 3: Leveraging Co-Op Commissions

The true reward of building your friend list is the ability to easilytackle content together. Co-op missions are significantly easier andmore rewarding with a coordinated squad.

  • Initiating Co-Op: Once friends are added, you can team up anytime. Head to the Commissions interface and select the specific mission you wish to run.
  • Party Formation: Use the interface to invite your friends from your new list. You can form a party of two to four players.
  • The Coordinated Advantage: Start the commission and fight side-by-side. The co-op mode encourages coordinated attacks, strategic character deployment, and shared responsibilities. You will both fight and share all the rewards once the mission is completed, making progress faster and far more enjoyable.

The social side of Duet Night Abyss adds depth, strategy, and fun to the grind, making the small investment of time required to unlock and use the Friends system well worth theeffort.
