While you might not feel their impact immediately, your reliance on Demon Wedges will skyrocket as you progress. So, where can you find them?The most consistent method is through the Noctoyager Manual located in your Combat menu. By completing specific commissions, you'll be rewarded with Demon Wedges of varying power. It's wise to focus on this farm once you've progressed far enough to tackle Level 40 commissions and higher, as the rewards significantly improve.Beyond commissions, keep an eye out for these sources:- Story and side quest completions.
- Challenging boss fight rewards.
- Limited-time in-game events.
The Pinnacle of Power: Crafting Gold Demon Wedges
The most coveted items in the system are the Gold Demon Wedges. Unliketheir common counterparts, these must be crafted and represent the peakof offensive and defensive potential.
To begin, you first need to obtain a blueprint. You can acquire these schematics through several high-end activities:
- Secret Letters: Purchase these from the shop and use them to unlock Demon Wedge Covert Commissions, similar to how you unlock new characters.
- Bounty Commissions: Take on Chase bounties found in the Combat → Bounty Commissions menu.
- High-Level Noctoyager Commissions: Successfully complete level 70-80 commissions for a chance at these valuable blueprints.
Once you have a blueprint, visit Lunosmith in your Sanctuary. They will display the required materials, sending you on a new quest to gather the components for your ultimate prize.
Enhancing Your Arsenal: The Upgrade Process
Finding a powerful Demon Wedge is only half the battle. To maximize its potential, you must invest in upgrades.
Navigate to the Armoury screen, select your chosen Demon Wedge, and hit the Upgrade button. Each level requires two key resources:
- Coin
- Carmine Globules
Both can be earned by diligently completing various commissions. Remember: with every upgrade, the Demon Wedge's Tolerance cost increases. This brings us to the most strategic part of the system.
Mastering Your Build: Understanding Tolerance and Tracks
Tolerance is the resource cost for equipping a Demon Wedge. Every character andweapon has a maximum Tolerance cap, preventing you from simply loadingup on the most powerful wedges.
Thankfully, a clever mechanic allows you to bypass this limitation: Tracks.
You'll notice that Demon Wedges and their equipment slots have specialsymbols. When you place a wedge into a slot with a matching Tracksymbol, its Tolerance cost is halved. This is the secret to creating min-maxed, ultra-efficient builds.
To manipulate this system, you need Track-Shift Modules. These items allow you to change the Track on a slot to better fit your best Demon Wedges. You can acquire them by:
- Purchasing them directly from the in-game shop.
- Crafting them at Lunosmith after obtaining the blueprint.
- Leveling up your characters and weapons.
Pro Tip: Characters and weapons require different types of Track-Shift Modules, so plan your resource spending accordingly.
By strategically using Tracks, you can equip far more powerful DemonWedges than your Tolerance cap would normally allow, giving you adecisive edge in the most challenging content Duet Night Abyss has tooffer.
