The Flintslate is located in the Deep Docks, a region that is home to the Forge Daughter. However, the tool is locked behind a door that requires a Simple Key to open.There are four Simple Keys scattered throughout Pharloom, so you have a few options to get one. A common early-game method is to buy one from Pebb the merchant in Bone Bottom for 500 Rosaries. Other keys can be found in the Sinner's Road, Sands of Karak, or purchased from Jubilana in Songclave after completing the "Wandering Merchant Wish".Once you have a Simple Key, follow these steps to get the Flintslate:

• Go to the Deep Docks: Navigate to the Deep Docks, which is located in the lower regions of Pharloom.
• Find the Locked Door: The locked door is in the area just below the Forge Daughter's workbench and a nearby bench.
• Unlock the Door: Use your Simple Key on the locked door to open it and proceed inside.
• Navigate the Path: Once inside, move to the right side of the screen. You'll pass through an area with two vertical drops. Continue going right after crossing both of these.
• Find the Hidden Pocket: At the third vertical drop, jump up and to the left. You will see a small, hidden pocket in the wall. Enter this area.
• Acquire the Flintslate: Inside the hidden pocket, you will find a workbench or a pedestal with the Flintslate on it. Interact with it to obtain the tool.
• Equip the Tool: Return to the nearest bench and equip your new Flintslate.

What the Flintslate Does

The Flintslate is a Red Tool with 3 uses per rest. Its unique function is to temporarily superheat Hornet's Needle.

• Type: Red Tool
• Uses: 3
• Effect: When activated, the Flintslate imbues Hornet's Needle with fire damage. This significantly increases the damage of her basic attacks, making itparticularly effective against bosses and armored enemies.
• Duration: The effect remains active for a good amount of time, allowing you todeal a large amount of extra damage during a single encounter.
• Charges: Like other Red Tools, the Flintslate has a limited number of uses. Once you've used all three charges, you'll need to rest at a bench to replenish them.

The Flintslate is an excellent offensive tool, as it directly increases the damage of your primary weapon without relying on summons orprojectiles. Its ability to add fire damage is also beneficial in certain cold environments, such as Mount Fay, where it can help you avoid freezing.
