In Hollow Knight: Silksong, your ability to craft and upgrade tools is crucial to survival. Among the many items you can acquire, the Multibinder is a unique "Blue Tool" that affects Hornet's primary healing ability, Bind. While its effect might not be ideal for every player, it's a key part of specific builds and is essential for anyone aiming for 100% completion.This guide will tell you everything you need to know about getting and using the Multibinder in Hollow Knight: Silksong.

How to Get the Multibinder

The Multibinder is not found in the wild but is instead a rare item you can purchase from a specific merchant. However, this item will not be available in their shop until you complete a couple of specific requirements in the early game.Here are the steps to unlock the Multibinder for purchase:

• Defeat the Widow: The first requirement is to defeat the Widow, the main boss of Bellhart in Act 1. Defeating her will lift the curse on the town and make its inhabitants, including the shopkeepers, available to you.
• Complete the "My Missing Courier" Wish: Once Bellhart is free, a Wish Board will appear near the town's central shop. You must accept and complete the "My Missing Courier" quest. This quest requires you to find a missing courier named Tipp, who is a merchant.
• Find the Missing Courier: To complete the quest, you'll need to follow a trail that leads to the left of Bellhart, towards the Bone Bottom region. The courier, Tipp, is found being harassed by two bugs. Defeat the bugs to save him, and he will return to Bellhart.
• Purchase from Frey: After rescuing the courier, return to Bellhart and speak to Frey, the shopkeeper. Completing this quest will expand his inventory. The Multibinder will now be available for purchase at his shop for 880 Rosaries.

The high price of the Multibinder means you may want to hold off on buying it until you've accumulated enough Rosaries, but it is a vital part of certain builds.

What the Multibinder Does

The Multibinder is a Blue Tool that can be equipped to any Crest that has a blue tool slot. Its primary function is to modify Hornet's Bind healing skill.

The tool's description states that it "extends the act of binding but increases its healing effect." This means:

• Longer Healing Duration: The time it takes for Hornet to perform the Bind action and heal will be longer than normal. This makes you more vulnerable during the animation, so timing is key.
• Enhanced Healing: In exchange for the longer duration, Hornet will regenerate a greater number of Masks. With the Multibinder equipped, you will heal two Masks instead of the usual one.14 If paired with other healing tools, it can provide a massive burst of health.

While the increased healing is tempting, the longer healing animation makesit a risky choice, especially during boss fights where every secondcounts. However, when combined with other tools, such as the Injector Band (which speeds up the healing animation), the Multibinder can be a core component of a powerful, high-sustain build.
