Already the motherboard manufacturers are getting in touch for the launch of the AMD Ryzen 3000 CPUs with new BIOS updates for the motherboards that are already on the market.

Hopefully, they will be able to use the new range of CPUs and chipsets to develop new motherboards of the 500 series. But the retrocompatibility of AM4, can still run Ryzen 3000 on old motherboards.

The new batch of BIOS updates from MSI, Asus and Biostar, has managed to get to the motherboards X470, B450 and X370 that are already available, however, they have not reached the B350.

Many went so far as to say that the lower end of the 300 series motherboards would not be compatible with the new AMD Zen 2 CPUs, despite confirmation from AMD that it would be compatible with AM4 CPUs up to 2020.

But the support should be in charge of the manufacturers of motherboards, but since it is possible that the only restriction that the B350 plates have is the capacity of the BIOS chip itself, the major specification boards have 32MiByte chips and the B350 have only a capacity of 16MiByte of silicone BIOS.

That is, the plates would only be compatible with Ryzen 3000 if only the microcode could fit in the smaller BIOS chips.

On the other hand the developers of motherboards have been attentive to the updates of BIOS Ryzen 3000 in different degrees, among them Asus and MSI, who said that it was only available to "support the new AMD CPU next" and Asus present the latest AGESA standard for "next processors".

Biostar has named its updates as: "AGESA ComboAM4 PI 0.0.7.2". The AMD Generic Encapsulated Software Architecture (AGESA) microcode with the designation of 0.0.7.x is intended to support the new Ryzen 3000 processors.
