Without it, the Weirdwood's true path will remain shrouded in mystery.

A Step-by-Step Guide to Navigating the Weirdwood Maze

The primary goal within the Weirdwood is to trigger a special cutscene where Princess Gwaelin, through her necklace, communicates with you. While you could stumble upon it by chance, following this precise route three times in a row guarantees success:

Enter the Weirdwood from the world map.

From the entrance, walk forward (North) and take the left path at the first fork.

Take the first right path you see to continue heading upward.

At the next fork, go right.

Immediately take the first left path to continue North, veering slightly to the right.

Follow this linear path until it loops you back to the beginning of the Weirdwood via a loading zone.

Repeat this exact sequence (steps 2-6) two more times. On the third completion, the cutscene with Gwaelin will trigger.

After the scene, a new, straightforward path North will open, leading you directly to the Silver Harp and the boss encounter.

Preparation is Key: Gearing Up for the Mirage Fight

Immediately after the cutscene, you will face three Mirages. This is a significant difficulty spike, and walking in unprepared is arecipe for a Game Over. We strongly recommend being at least Level 25 before attempting this fight.

Beyond leveling up, equipping the best possible gear is non-negotiable. Here’s what to hunt for:

• Tempest Shield: Found in a blue chest within the Faerie Village.
• Phantom Mask: Located in a blue chest inside the Citadel of the Monarch of Medals.
• Tectonic Plate: Acquired from behind the blue door on B3 of the Cave of the Dwarves.

Your inventory is just as important as your armor. Stock up on:

• Antidotal Herbs: Mirages love to poison you.
• Strong Medicine / Special Medicine: For reliable and powerful healing.
• Crackle Spell Scroll: This is your most powerful weapon. Find it in a chest inside a building in the Faerie Village and learn it immediately.

Winning the Battle: Strategy to Slay the Mirages

The Mirages have a nasty habit of calling for reinforcements if they aren't defeated simultaneously. Your goal is to take all three out at once.Here’s the optimal battle plan:

Your primary action every turn should be to cast Crackle. This spell deals area-of-effect damage to all enemies, whittling down their health in unison.

Manage your turn based on your Hero's status:

• If your HP is above 120 and you are NOT poisoned: Cast Crackle. If you're out of MP, use the "Defending Champion" ability to reduce damage.
• If your HP drops below 120: Immediately use a Strong or Special Medicine. Your survival is more important than dealing damage for one turn.
• If you are poisoned: Use an Antidotal Herb right away. Poison damage will quickly overwhelm you.

By consistently applying this strategy, you will damage all three Miragesevenly. With a bit of luck and persistence, a well-timed Crackle orstandard attack should finish them all off at the same time, preventingany backup from arriving.

If you fail to defeat them simultaneously, don't panic! Continue fighting, focusing on one Mirage at a time. You may still prevail, though thefight will be much tougher. If you fall, don't be discouraged—theexperience gained is valuable. Restock your items, level up if needed,and try again with the knowledge you've gained.
