In Dune: Awakening, Plastone and Basalt Stone are crucial mid-to-late game resources. Plastone, in particular, is essential for constructing more resilient, sandstorm-resistant bases. While acquiring these resources can involve extensive searching, this guide will streamline the process by detailing an easily accessible Basalt Stone farming location and then outlining the steps and materials needed to produce Plastone.

Dune Awakening: Get Basalt Stone To Make Plastone

Plastone is a specialized building material used to construct bases capable of withstanding the harsh sandstorms of Arrakis.

Constructing A Medium Ore Refinery

To produce Plastone, you must first have a Medium Ore Refinery. This refinery itself requires a significant investment in research and materials:

• Research Requirement: You must have spent 300 Intel Points in your tech tree.
• Construction Materials: Once researched, constructing the Medium Ore Refinery requires:
  • 125 Steel Ingots
  • 60 Cobalt Paste
  • 50 Complex Machinery

Recipe For Plastone

Once you have established your Medium Ore Refinery, you can begin producing Plastone. To produce 250 units of Plastone, you will need the following materials:

• 50 Water
• 200 Basalt Stone
• 1 Silicone Block

Resource Notes:

• Water: Water is a fundamental resource required for numerous refiningprocesses and, of course, player hydration. Therefore, learningefficient methods for gathering and storing large quantities of water is crucial.
• Basalt Stone: This is arguably the most challenging of the three resources to acquire in large quantities. Details on where to find it are provided below.
• Silicone Blocks: Silicone Blocks are crafted in a Chemical Refinery. Their primary raw material is Flour Sand.

Where To Farm Basalt Stone In Dune: Awakening

Before embarking on a search for Basalt Stone, it is imperative that you possess at least a Cutterray Mk. 3 or an even more powerful mining tool. Without this, you will only beable to pick up individual Basalt Stones on the ground, which is highlyinefficient for the quantities required.

While Basalt Stone can be found across much of the northwest corner of themap, including The Western Shield Wall, The Eastern Shield Wall, TheO'odham, Mysa Tarill, and Sheol, there is a particularly accessiblelocation within Mysa Tarill:

• Location: Just west of Jabal Eifrit Al-Gharb and northwest of the Western Vermillius Gap, you can enter Mysa Tarill.
• Safe Approach: Hug the large rock wall to the north as you enter for added safety.
• Farming Spot: Here, you will first encounter a small rock structure containing some Basalt Stone. More importantly, just west of that first structure, you will find tonnes of Basalt Stone on the larger rock structure where the Crossroads Trading Post is located.
• Enemy-Free Zone: Crucially, there are no enemies at this specific location, allowing players to freely farm largequantities of Basalt Stone without the need to delve into more dangerous late-game regions.

Tip: Given that Plastone requires 200 units of Basalt Stone per batch, ensure you dedicate ample time to farming. Utilizing a Dune Buggy can significantly aid in transporting large quantities of mined Basalt Stone during your expeditions.
