We invite you to discover How to defeat Orochi in Dragon Quest 3 Remake with our guide today,
Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake features many bosses, with Orochi being one of them. If you really want to collect all the Orbs and progress with the game, know that a fight with him is inevitable. Thankfully, both of his fights are similar so you won't be too bothered fighting these guys twice in a row. The actual change between the two is that the second fight is much stronger. If this multi-headed dragon is giving you the heebie-jeebies, continue reading.
By defeating this boss in the Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake, you'll be rewarded with not only the powerful Orochi Sword but also one of the Six Orbs. Now, here's what you want to do once you're deep in the Jipang Cave and ready for Orochi.
How to defeat Orochi in Dragon Quest 3 Remake?
We used the Hero, Monster Wrangler, Pilgrim, and Sage parties to take him down, but any of the myriad available in Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake will suffice. Using a Dragontail Whip or the Monster Pile-On/Call of the Wild skills, Monster Wrangler is my favourite in this battle. Despite the fact that Monster Pile-On is the better card, I completely forgot to bring it into my battle.
Equip the anti-dragon weapon on the Monster Wrangler/melee character and challenge to see who does more damage from simple attacks versus Monster Pile-On. Make sure to have the Sage or Wizard cast Oomph on them before they start fighting.
Insulatle on your Pilgrim will help weaken the effect of all breath weapon assaults. To enhance their protection or accelerate it, cast Kabuff or Accelerate. Now, to beat Orochi in Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake, one may use Zapple, Oomph+Lightning Strike, or Lightning Magic.
I save my Sage for later as a healer in case Orochi decides to let loose his nasty AoE fire skills. Orochi Shouting Sudden can cause Fear, aside from area-of-effect wildfire and melee attacks.
Final Destination: Monster Wrangler + Dragontail Whip
You are able to increase the damage of your Monster Wrangler's melee attacks to well over 300 every hit, just by sneaking in a Sap or two. Since this boss is vulnerable to Ice, as well, using Crackle from your Sage or Wizard is an excellent idea if everyone is healthy and boosted.
Orochi will be defeated within turns thanks to the heals from Sage and Pilgrim, with Hero serving as a reserve, and Monster Wrangler's phenomenal melee damage. If you are prepared for round two, head into Jipang's main house and have a chat with Pimiko. Inform her that you will not keep her secret. Due to this, the second combat begins.
This fight was no different than any other, if you ask me. A strong melee character combined with effective use of buffs and debuffs will quickly see Orochi defeated in the Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake. Now, take control of your Orb by fighting her the same way. After Dying Fire and a number of other Orb guards, Orochi felt like a walk in the park.
In this sense, knowing How to defeat Orochi in Dragon Quest 3 Remake, allows you to defeat him and continue fighting in this interesting game.
