Our guide today aims to explain to you How to get the Rainbow Drop in Dragon Quest 3 Remake.

To get to Zoma's Citadel, which is waiting for you at the end of Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake, you'll be needing to use the Rainbow Drop, which produces the Rainbow Bridge. For those who remember Dragon Quest 1/Dragon Warrior and managed to beat it, this is also the main quest. In order to face the Dragon Lord, you have to create the Rainbow Drop. But compared to the original title, this one will be a breeze.

If you've played Dragon Quest 1, then you shouldn't have too much trouble exploring and completing the tasks, but if you have a vague idea of where to go in the Rainbow Drop section in Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake and are still stumped, then we're here to help.

How to get the Rainbow Drop in Dragon Quest 3 Remake?

The Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake's Rainbow Drop: How to Produce It
In the Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake, the Rainbow Drop can only be crafted with the Sunstone, Sacred Amulet, and Staff of Rain. With the Rainbow Drop, a combination of these items, you'll gain access to the peninsula that houses the path leading to Zoma's Citadel. You'll use the equipment in this area, unlock an achievement, and move forward into the final dungeon of the main game.

The Sacred Amulet is rather easy to get. First get the Faerie Flute in Kol by searching for the glittery thingy next to the baths. Next go up the Tower of Rubiss. Once you defeat Soul of Baramos, it's time to use the Faerie Flute on the statue. Do so and sleeping Rubiss will wake up and give you the Amulet.

The Sunstone, however, is available quasi-immediately upon landing in Alefgard: From the talk with the king, head right into the kitchen of the castle, then go upstairs to the second story. Open the chest nearby to get the Sunstone. You can now use this item to complete the Rainbow Drop in Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake.

Two shrines located within Alefgard have places marked on the map that are indicated with a at the bottom. These two locations are the next stops in your tour. Located at the bottom right corner of the shrine is the Sanctum, where you will merge the Sunstone with the Staff of Rain to create the Rainbow Drop. Its western neighbor is the Holy Spirit Temple. Here you can obtain the Staff of Rain after a small talk with the Spirit of Rubiss.

Two paths, marked by a "X" on the map, supplement the areas circled. If you follow those, you will end up in the major towns of Damdara and Cantlin. In Damara you will also be able to find Orichalcum, one of the components of the Sword of Kings.

You can also find at least one Friendly Monster for the Monster Arena here in it. The Cantlin's wise man will also point out the three objects you'll need—the Staff of Rain, Sunstone, and the Sacred Amulet—but they don't matter anymore. In the HD-2D remake of Dragon Quest 3, the three components you need to create the Rainbow Drop should have been in your possession by now.

Return to the Sanctum and speak with the man inside once you are ready. If you have all three parts, he will make for you the Rainbow Drop. You can now take it to the peninsula near to Zoma's Citadel, where you'll view a small cutscene and then be able to access the final boss.
