Of all the potent end-game Curios in Black Myth Wukong, one of them is the Gold Button. However, you can completely skip using the Gold Button if you don't defeat a certain kind of adversary that corresponds with a specific main plot chapter. The Gold Button is one of the drops from giant rakshasa troops in Black Myth Wukong, within Chapter 5: "The Flaming Mountains." If you can take down the Giants, the Gold Button is one of the few Curios that you won't miss because its drop is guaranteed. These enemies are completely optional and won't bother you unless you trespass on their turf.
These Giants Rakshasas are sitting at the entrance of the Rakshasa Palace. Their backs are against the path heading to a small shrine where the Old Man NPC is sleeping. Luckily for you, though, only one of these Giant Rakshasas needs to be defeated to get the said Gold Button Curios.
Here are some tips that will help you if you cannot kill the Giant Rakshasas fast in Black Myth Wukong:
- Use Fireproof Mantle to avoid taking Burn damage from the lava-covered floor. When dodging, stay behind Giants and stagger them with Smash Stance's charged-heavy attack; Immobilize allows for repositioning and more hits. If you want to stagger the Giants, just simple Wandering Wight Spirit.
- Defeating a Giant Rakshasa will drop the Gold Button Curios. Like the Beast Buddha Curios, this also raises the attack power of the Destined One. This, however requires full health, and that is usually difficult to maintain during some monster fights towards the end of the game.
However, you'll easily still keep a full HP bar once you get into New Game+, or at least master the "see-through" combos for each posture. And that's how you maximize those Gold Button Curios. Also, the Gold Button stacks its effects akin to Beast Buddha.
