There is plenty of exploration across the six chapters that you'll play through to progress the Black Myth: Wukong main story, even if it feels like the game is solely focused around boss battles.

As you progress, a variety of surprises-Character missions, completely optional sections, and even hidden bosses-will crop up. You might also find that certain key items pop up along the way without any immediately apparent purpose. If you've discovered a Skandha item but aren't sure what its purpose is, then this is probably the case.

Black Myth Wukong: How to Find all Skandhas

Form Skandha's Whereabouts

In the forest of Wolves Front Hills, Chapter One, after passing through the gate, head forward on a path until you reach a clearing in the forest. You can notice there is a character standing by a rock before they run away; continue to the left in this forest. Approach the rock and interact with it to obtain your first Skandha, Skandha of Form.

A Place of Emotional Skandha

Defeating Chapter Two's secret boss, Shigandang, rewards the second Skandha item. To summon it, though, you have to take down the Stone Vanguard and get all six Buddha's Eyeballs.

Once you've met these two prerequisites, start the fight with Shigandang by heading back to where you fought the Stone Vanguard and interact with the boulder. Beat him for the Skandha of Feeling.

• Exacting Awareness: Skandha of Thought in the Valley of Ecstasy by the Power of Mindfulness Go to the top of Cliff and find the wooden bridge leading across, turn right to drop down in the middle.
• Head on down the path to the left until you locate the protagonist standing near a stone statue, similar to the one he was with in chapter one. Go over and talk to it to obtain the Skandha of Mind.

Skanda of Choice Location

• From Webbed Hollow - The Purifying Spring, head out towards the water area and just continue on the main path.
• Head left after a while, and you'll see the same character on top of a Buddha head. Walk towards the head and engage with it for the Skanda of Choice.

Expanse of the Self-Awareness Realm

The fight with the secret boss Giant Shigandang is activated in Chapter Six, after acquiring all four previous Skandha. Defeating all four yields the Skandha of Consciousness.

From the Foothills Verdant Path Keeper's Shrine, the location with the boss can be reached. Fly across using Somersault Cloud and reach the big lake.

Head to the waterfall cave where you received the staff during the quest storyline. Across from that path will be a trail that leads to what looks like a desert.

The huge boulder that moves at the end of that path will trigger the boss fight against Giant Shigandang.

Climb to the top of the boss once you defeat Giant Shigandang for the final Skandha, the Skandha of Consciousness.

The boulder will not budge, nor will the boss fight be available unless you have all four of the Skandha items within your inventory.

What to Do with the Skandha Item Next

With all five of the Skandhas in hand, make your way back to the medicine man Xu Dog in the Zodiac Village and select the dialogue option that says, "Show the Five Skandhas."

Then select "Make Five Skandhas Pill" for +20 boost in Health, Mana, Stamina, Attack, and Defense stats.
