As players progress through the latter chapters of Black Myth: Wukong, the gear quality starts to really improve. Legendary Staff of Blazing Karma is one of the most powerful late-game weapons that will be available to players once they know how to craft it in Chapter 5. This is where it gets tricky: players are going to have to find three Samadhi Fire Crystals to create this weapon. This rare crafting ingredient drops when the player has defeated three specific mini-bosses in Chapter 5. This guide shows players how to craft the Staff of Blazing Karma and where to get all three Samadahi Fire Crystals.
The three bosses that The Chosen One must defeat in order to acquire Samadhi Fire Crystals appear in Chapter 5. You will find all three of these foes there. The bosses are:
One Samadhi Fire Crystal will drop from each boss, in addition to any other rewards. By their names alone, it may not be apparent that all of these enemies are fire-based and rely on flame in one way or another to defeat the Destined One. Bring or craft Body-Cooling Powder, and consider equipping any Burn Resistance armour you may have.
Make sure, after the fights with the three above-mentioned bosses, to collect the Spirits they have to give.
The Flint Chief will be the first foe who'll drop a Samadhi Fire Crystal. The players are to start looking for it at the Furnace Valley's Valley Entrance shrine. To get to the large lava fall, way over there, you'll want to continue on with the main path. Follow the path until you reach a small rock bridge that crosses over a small lava channel. As you can see, the path curves left underneath the rock channel and down into the lava. Of course, by now you are wearing the Fireproof Mantle, which enables you to walk in the lava without burning.
As you've moved across the rock bridge, keeping the lava in sight, go toward the place where a tiny stream appears to drop from above. Just in front of this will be a Fire Date tree. As you pass by the tree, the Flint Vanguard will start putting itself together in front of you. The Flint Chief barely uses any weapons and relies on his raw strength and arms for most of his attacks. You will have to pay attention to the arms in such a way that you could end up demolishing them if your attention gets too strong, which would be very hazardous for yourself. The fight shouldn't be that hard considering the improved weapons and armor you should be having by this time. You'll get the first Samadhi Fire Crystal upon defeating the Flint Chief.
Make sure you have at least four Flame Ore in your inventory before going downhill to fight Flint Vanguard. The Mother of Flamlings, who is near the Flint Vanguard will ask for some. Buy some from a Keeper's Shrine if you don't already have any before going downhill.
You have to move past the big iron ball-which later becomes Top Takes Bottom, Bottom Takes Top-in order to reach the Flint Vanguard. What you need to do, however, is simply move along the edge of the path, from safe space to safe space, out of its way. With time, a cut scene will pop up, which will destroy the big ball, forming another path leading to the Cooling Slope site. You can start your journey to this site either from the Fallen Furnace Crater shrine or Ashen Pass III. The only difference now is the direction of movement.
Whichever shrine you choose, head back along the same path that Iron Ball took initially. You will recall the part of the path was blocked off by fire, or more accurately, a wall of fire of enormous size. This wall disappears after finding the Plantain Fan and pulling out the Iron Ball. In its place, you'll head right coming from Ashen Pass III, left if coming from Fallen Furnace Crater.
As you go down the slope, you'll have a Luojia Fragrant Vine to your left. Beyond that, go up ahead until you see some grey rocks. Each of them rises from the sea of black rocks. As you draw closer to the rocks, they will coalesce into Flint Vanguard. This foe is quite literally a Stone Vanguard with its bottom engulfed in fire. It will slam its torso into the ground, which causes giant lava explosions in every direction around it. You should, therefore, try to limit your time around the Flint Vanguard as much as possible. Thankfully, it moves very slow, so you're in and out-attacking and moving away-rather quickly. The Fireproof Mantle does help, but unfortunately doesn't block all of the damage from the lava. If you are patient, you defeat the opponent and get the second Samadhi Fire Crystal.
You'll reach the Mother of Flamlings without a hitch after defeating Flint Vanguard. If you keep right in the open space, you will find a passage that goes down even further. Before several Flamlings, you're going to encounter some rocky opponents that deal with fire. If you weren't able to obtain Flame Ore, you can try getting it from the Flamlings. Proceed forward until you notice there is a glowing patch on the ground. You'll notice you can interact with it as you draw closer. Place four Flame Ore here to summon the Mother of Flamlings.
Because this boss is, for all intents and purposes, just a big Flamling, this boss battle shouldn't be too hard. She summons around her a circle of regular Flamlings which spew fireballs at you while you chip away at her health. Watch out for these, cause you might not be able to bear the flames as long as you think. But the fight against the Mother of Flamlings won't be hard if you kill the Flamlings quickly. After defeating her, you will be given the final Samadhi Fire Crystal, and also have a chance to craft a staff that is unfortunately stronger than any weapon on Black Myth: Wukong.
Since you have all three Samadhi Fire Crystals, players will be able to craft the Staff of Blazing Karma. This is indeed a legendary staff put on a tree with just but one other weapon, something that is going to make the process a little bit easier since you won't need to make several staffs that come before it initially.
Requirements of Blazing Karma Staff
The Smash Stance charged heavy attack that consumes over 3 Focus Points makes the weapon spew a spurt of lava onto the ground.
