The Ancient Tomb of Nanjo is a masterclass in level design, blending environmental puzzles, platforming, and exploration into one cohesive experience. The tomb’s layout is deliberately disorienting, with pathways that loop back on themselves and hidden passages that are easy to miss. Many players, myself included, have spent hours wandering its tight corridors, only to find themselves lost and frustrated. But fear not—this guide will save you the hassle and help you navigate the tomb efficiently.

Step-by-Step Solution to the Tomb of Nanjo Puzzle

Entering the Tomb
Begin by descending the stairs at the entrance. Squeeze through the narrow gap ahead and press on past the eerie coffin room. Drop down the ledge into the water below and continue forward until you reach a chamber with two clay horses perched on a ledge above. Here, you’ll notice pathways branching to the left and right.

Taking the Right Path
Choose the path to the right. Follow it until you arrive at another chamber with yet more branching paths. Drop down the ledge and take the right path again. This will lead you to a cavern with a shallow pond at the bottom. Use the rocks protruding from the water to navigate to the doorway at the back of the cavern. Drop down into the water below and crawl through the gap on the left.

Ascending the Stairs
After emerging from the crawl space, take the stairs up and proceed throughthe doorway. Follow the path until you reach a large chamber. Jump intothe water and swim to the ledge on the left side of the room. Use therocky plinth to climb up to the higher ledge. Once there, head throughthe doorway, drop down, and take the forward path.

Navigating the Large Chamber
You’ll soon find yourself in another expansive chamber. As you enter, turnright and use the rocky plinth in the water to climb up to the ledgeabove. From there, go right, hop across the gap, and carefully cross the broken wooden bridge. Use the grappling hook point to swing across tothe doorway at the back of the chamber.

Climbing to the Next Level
In the next room, use the rocks on the left to climb up to the ledgeabove. Continue up the stairs and follow the path until you reach a room with paths going left and right. Choose the left path and slide downthe ramp.

Final Stretch to the Treasure
Follow the path until you encounter another crawl tunnel. Pass through it into a chamber filled with more clay horses and pots. Continue along thepath, using the rocks and the grappling hook point above to cross thewater. From here, simply follow the path, squeeze through the rocks, and you’ll finally reach the treasure chest.

Looting the chest is well worth the effort. You’ll be rewarded with:

• 1000 XP to boost your character’s progression.
• 1 Knowledge Point to enhance your abilities.
