How to complete A Shinobi on Awaji quest in Assassin's Creed Shadows Claws of Awaji

"A Shinobi on Awaji" is the first main quest of the Claws of Awaji expansion in Assassin's Creed Shadows. It begins after you've completed the main story quest, "The Puppet Show," and have traveled to the newly unlocked Awaji Island. The primary objective of this mission is to gather information about a captured shinobi, who may be Naoe's missing mother, and discover their location.This guide will provide a detailed walkthrough of the quest, outlining the different paths you can take to complete it.

Quest Walkthrough: A Shinobi on Awaji

After arriving on Awaji Island, use the nearby boat to travel to the sea coast. Once you are there, you can open your objective board and check the "People of Awaji" section. You will find that there are three different ways to approach this quest: you can eavesdrop at the docks, visit the stables, or visit the inn. You only need to choose one of these paths to advance the quest.

Option 1: Visit the Inn

If you choose to visit the inn, your first task is to travel to therequired location in the town of Sumoto. Once there, enter the inn anduse the "blend in" feature by sitting with other civilians. You can then use the eavesdropping feature to listen to a conversation between theinnkeeper and a guard.

After the conversation, you must stealthily follow the guard. The best way to do this is by using the rooftops.Enter the restricted area from above and continue following him until he stops. Once he stops, you can jump down and talk to him. You will havethree different dialogue prompts to choose from:

• "Tell me or die": This option requires you to defeat the guard in combat to get the information.
• "Please, this is important": This option also requires you to defeat the guard.
• "I can pay [2000 Mon]": This is the peaceful option. You can give the guard 2000 Mon to get the information without a battle.

No matter which option you choose, once you get the information, the quest will be marked as complete.

Option 2: Visit the Stables

If you choose to visit the stables, travel to the location in Sumoto andhide inside the haystack. From here, you can eavesdrop on a conversation between a citizen and a carpenter. You will learn that a reportcontaining information on the shinobi's location can be found in thenearby Samurai Residence.

Next, you must go to the SamuraiResidence and stealthily enter the restricted area. Use your ninjaskills to avoid detection as you make your way to the house. Onceinside, locate and collect the report. This will provide you with allthe information you need about the captured shinobi, and the quest willbe completed.

As soon as you learn the location of the captured shinobi, the next quest, "The Reunion," will begin.
