"Way of the Bo" is the fifth main quest in the Claws of Awaji expansion for Assassin's Creed Shadows. This quest is significant for two reasons: it's a key part of the main story, and it introduces a new weapon for Naoe, the Bo staff. Quest Walkthrough: Way of the Bo
After completing the "Prison Break" quest, your next goal is to obtain a key that will allow you to continue the search for the final Regalia. The key is in the possession of a Bo master who is located near Kannoji Temple.Step 1: Find the Bo MasterThe quest hints will point you to an area west of Sumoto on Awaji Island.Travel to this region and look for Kannoji Temple. Once you arrive atthe temple, head northeast to find the Bo master training a student.Speak with him, and he will agree to help you, but only after you haveproven yourself worthy by mastering the Bo.
Step 2: Train with the Bo
The Bo master will hand you a Bo staff, and you must now complete a seriesof training exercises to learn the new weapon's moveset.
- Neutral Posture: Perform this attack three times. This is the Bo's basic attack.
- High Posture: Perform this attack three times. To get into the high posture, you need to first enter a stance, then switch to the high position beforereleasing the attack.
- Low Posture: Perform this attack three times. Similar to the high posture, you'llenter a stance and then switch to the low position before attacking. The low posture is a very useful move as it can knock enemies off theirfeet, allowing you to deal heavy damage while they're on the ground.
Step 3: Defeat the Bo Master
Once you have completed the training, you must fight and defeat the Bomaster in a duel. This is a chance to put your newly acquired skills tothe test. Utilize the Bo's various postures to your advantage. The lowposture is particularly effective, as you can knock the master down andland a few free hits.
Parry his attacks and dodge when necessary. The Bo's long range makes it anexcellent weapon for crowd control, and it's also useful in one-on-onecombat. After you defeat him, he will acknowledge your skill and revealthe location of the key you need.
With the master defeated, the quest concludes, and you'll be one step closer to completing the Claws of Awaji expansion. The next mission, "A Long Lost Key," will require you to find and retrieve the key from its hidden location.
