Steps to Repair the Bridge

The process requires defeating one of the region's main bosses and then speaking with a key NPC.

• Defeat Gazog: You must first find and defeat Gazog, Son of Zorg, the champion of the Grandery tribe.
• Speak to the Village Elder: After defeating Gazog, you need to speak to the Goblin Village Elder to initiate the request to repair the bridge.
• Confirm the Repair: Return to the broken bridge location. Here you will find Jendriuk the Faithful, who stands at the edge of the broken structure.
• Bridge Repaired: Once the necessary steps are completed, the bridge will be repaired, allowing you to proceed to the mountains.

The Quest to the Holy Fountain

The path through the mountains is tied to a specific quest that offers narrative depth.

• After the bridge is fixed, speak to Ederig the Stalwart at the Sanctuary.
• He will instruct you to visit the mountains via the newly repaired bridge and drink from the Holy Fountain.
• This journey will introduce you to several difficult enemy encounters.

The quest is primarily a narrative moment that deepens the world's lore and provides unique dialogue from several NPCs upon completion.

Should You Take This Path? (Tactical Advice)

While this quest opens a new path and offers unique content, it is not the ideal path for players looking to create the strongest possible build before the final boss of the Grandery, the Underking.

• No Boss Skip: Taking this new path does not allow you to skip Gazog. You will have to fight Gazog again immediately after traversing the mountains.
• Suboptimal Build-Up: To maximize your build before the Underking, it is recommended to pursue the Mouldy Cave/Mushtroll path (unlocked by opening the Stonedale Citadel door). This route allows you to fight an additional boss and acquire two Inspirations before fighting Gazog or Rudolf, which is a much larger power boost.

In Summary: The repaired bridge path is highly recommended for lore, uniquedialogue, and experiencing the full map, but if your goal is pure powermaximization, consider a different route.
