Imbued Fruits are a vital resource in Absolum that fuels your long-term character progression by permanently enhancing the power of your Rituals. Unlike temporary run currency, Imbued Fruits are part of the meta-progression system that strengthens your future attempts.

What Are Imbued Fruits Used For?

Imbued Fruits are used to permanently enhance your Rituals.

How to Spend Them: You spend them by interacting with Vikhana the Joyful at the Sanctuary (Uchawi’s Hearth).
The Effect: Vikhana can buff the various individual rituals within a specific element (e.g., Ritual of Thunder). This means that every time you acquire that particular ritual during a run, it will be significantly stronger, making your subsequent runs much more powerful.

How to Unlock Vikhana the Joyful

Vikhana is the key NPC for this system, but she is not available from the start. You must rescue her in the second region to unlock her services.

Defeat the Underking: You must first beat the Underking, the final boss of the Grandery region.
Reach Jaroba: Successfully travel to the second region, Jaroba.
Rescue Vikhana: Very early in your journey through Jaroba, you will find Vikhana the Joyful surrounded by enemies. Defeat the enemies to free her. This is a scripted, unmissable event upon entering the region.
Unlocked: Vikhana will then make her way back to the Sanctuary and become an active NPC, allowing you to spend your accumulated Imbued Fruits to buff your rituals.

Tip: By the time you reach and free Vikhana, you should have a good amount of Imbued Fruits accumulated, so be prepared to make strategic choices about which rituals to buff first.

How to Earn More Imbued Fruits

Imbued Fruits are primarily earned through the Radiance meta-progression system:

Earning Method	Details
Sanctuary Radiance Level	After each run, you earn Radiance based on how far you traveled. As the Sanctuary's overall Radiance level increases, you receive a reward—which is either a Primordial Seed or an Imbued Fruit.
Challenges and Tasks	Completing specific tasks and challenges for Wisshelm the Archivist will also grant you Imbued Fruits as rewards.
