How To Reach The Secret Fourth Region in Absolum

The secret region of Yeldrim is not initially visible on the map and requires a bit of luck and persistence to access for the first time. It is a late-game challenge area that is more difficult than the standard second region, Jaroba.

How to Unlock Absolum's Secret Fourth Region: Yeldrim

Step 1: Defeat the Underking

The first prerequisite for reaching Yeldrim is completing the first region of the game.

• You must successfully defeat the first major boss, the Underking, who is found at the end of the Grandery.

Step 2: Access the Boat Transition

Once the Underking is defeated, you will arrive at a pier. This is the transition area between the first and second regions.

• Here, you will meet Zafari, who offers to give you a ride on their boat to the second region, Jaroba.
• Speak to Zafari to choose your destination.

Step 3: Trigger the Random Event

Initially, selecting Jaroba will always take you there. However, to unlock Yeldrim, you need to trigger a random event during this transition.

• Keep running the game and choosing to head to Jaroba.
• After a few successful runs reaching the boat, there is a chance that Zafari will take you to Yeldrim by mistake.
• You will know the sequence is changing when a purple mist envelopes the ship during the journey.

This event appears to be random, and the character you are playing as (e.g., Galandra, Karl, Brome, or Cider) does not influence the chance of it happening. Persistence is key!

Step 4: Permanently Unlock Yeldrim

Once you survive the random trip and successfully visit Yeldrim for the first time:

• Yeldrim is permanently added to your map.
• On subsequent runs, when you reach Zafari's boat, you will be able to choose Yeldrim as your destination instead of Jaroba, giving you more control over your route.
• Bonus: You will receive a trophy or achievement for visiting Yeldrim the first time.

The region is tied to a very cool side quest that expands the lore of Talamh and the rebellion against Azra.

3. Ultimate Challenge

The region features incredibly challenging boss fights and enemy encounters. It serves as a true test of skill and buildoptimization, making it a key location for players who have alreadycompleted a few runs and are looking for a greater difficulty spike.

It's wise to save Yeldrim for when you have invested heavily in your permanent upgrades (at theSanctuary's root) and have a strong understanding of your chosen hero'scombat mechanics. Once you can reliably navigate Jaroba, Yeldrim awaitsas the next great challenge.
