World of Warcraft: How to start “The Harbinger” quest
- 1. Automatic Quest Acquisition: Upon logging in, players will likely encounter introductory dialogue from Archmage Khadgar. Subsequently, the quest titled "The Harbinger" should automatically appear in your quest log.
- 2. Dalaran Teleportation: Utilize your Dalaran Hearthstone or employ alternative travel methods to reach the Legion version of the floating city, Dalaran.
- 3. Central Building and Teleportation Pad: Proceed straight upon arrival, then turn left to enter the central building. Locate and activate the glowing pad situated in the center of the room to initiate teleportation to the inner chambers, reminiscent of the "Legion" expansion.
- 4. Cinematic and Quest Completion: Once teleported, turn right to locate Alleria Windrunner. Interact with her to witness the latest cinematic that sets the stage for the upcoming "War Within" expansion. After the cinematic concludes, converse with Khadgar to acquire additional information and complete the "The Harbinger" quest. Cutscenes may be presented to refresh your memory on the narrative if you've been away from the game for a while.
- 5. Continuing the Questline: Locate Alleria stationed at the bottom of the steps. Initiate conversation with her to receive the subsequent quest, "Door to the Ren'Dorei." Completing this quest chain will ultimately unlock the "Hunt the Harbinger" achievement.
Important Note: This quest sequence may be susceptible to occasional bugs. In the event that Alleria fails to open a portal within the chamber, simply exit the mage tower and abandon the quest. Re-enter the chamber and reacquire the quest. Before descending the final set of stairs, pause and wait for Alleria to fully activate the portal.
