How To Unlock the Glider in Story of Seasons Grand Bazaar

In Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar, efficient movement is key to a productive day, and no tool is more effective for this than the glider. This remarkable piece of equipment allows you to soar over the landscape, accessing hard-to-reach locations and saving valuable time and stamina. Its performance is directly tied to the day's weather, making a simple change in the wind a powerful tool for traversal.This guide will provide a comprehensive overview of the glider, from the moment you unlock it to its use and customization.

How to Unlock the Glider

The glider is not available at the start of the game. Instead, it is a special gift you will receive from the Nature Sprites after you befriend them.

• Meet the Nature Sprites: The quest to meet the Nature Sprites will become available in Year 1, around Spring 13. A large, orange marker will appear on your map, pointing you toward their home on the edge of town.
• Convince Them to Join the Bazaar: Travel to the Sprites' home and interact with them. You will have a brief conversation where you will convince them to appear and trade at the weekly Bazaar.
• Receive the Glider: On the first Saturday following your conversation, head to the Bazaar area. A special cutscene will play showing the Nature Sprites trading in the market. At the conclusion of the cutscene, they will gift you a brand-new glider.

Note on DLC: If you have purchased the "Trunk of Transformation" DLC, a special "Ninja Glider" will also become available to you at this point in the story, offering a unique cosmetic option.

How to Use the Glider Effectively

Using the glider is simple and intuitive. Once it's in your inventory, it is always available to use.

• Activate the Glider: To activate the glider, simply hold the jump button while you are in mid-air. You can do this immediately after jumpingfrom the ground or while falling from any height. Your character willdeploy the glider and begin to float.
• Maneuvering: Whilegliding, use the directional keys or stick to move forward, backward,left, or right. The glider allows you to change your direction freely as you soar through the air.
• Deactivating the Glider: Toclose the glider and begin falling to the ground, simply release thejump button. This allows you to land precisely where you want.

The Power of the Wind: The glider's speed and maneuverability are directly determined by thewind level on a given day. You can check the wind level at any time bylooking at the windsock icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen.

• Low Wind: On days with low wind, your gliding will be slower, but you will have maximum control over your direction.
• Strong Wind: On days with strong wind (indicated by two arrows on the windsock),your gliding will be significantly faster, allowing you to traverselarge distances in a short amount of time.
• Hurricane Wind: On the rare occasion that the wind reaches hurricane levels, you willlose some control over your direction and will be carried swiftly across the map.

Stamina-Free Traversal: One of the most significant benefits of the glider is that it does not consume any stamina. This makes it an incredibly efficient way to get around the map,allowing you to save your energy for more important tasks like farming,foraging, and fishing.

How to Customize the Glider

The basic glider can be customized with different colors to match yourcharacter’s outfit or the season. To do so, you must visit the Happy Shoppe at the Bazaar, which is run by the Nature Sprites. You can purchase different glider colorations using Happy Energy, a special currency that you earn from participating in various activities around town.
