How to find the escaped chickens in Story of Seasons Grand Bazaar

As a new farmer in Zephyr Town, you'll have plenty of daily tasks to manage, but the quests you take on are key to unlocking new features and progressing the town. One of the earliest and most important quests you'll encounter is "SOS! Runaway Birds!," given by a friendly merchant named Kat. By completing it, you'll help her set up a new stall, which is a crucial step for revitalizing the Grand Bazaar.This guide will walk you through the locations of the three mischievous chickens so you can complete the quest and get back to your farming life.

SoS Grand Bazaar: How to find the escaped chickens

How to Start the Quest

The "SOS! Runaway Birds!" quest is given to you by Kat. She is a traveling merchant who can be found in two main locations:

• The Hotel: Located on the eastern side of Zephyr Town, this is the most common place to find her early in the game.
• The Marketplace: On bazaar days (Saturdays), you can find her in the main marketplace.

Speak to Kat, and she will explain her dilemma—she has lost her three precious chickens and needs your help to find them. The quest will be added to your journal, and your search can begin.

How to Find the Lost Chickens

The three chickens are scattered throughout Zephyr Town. Theirlocations may not be immediately obvious, but they are always in thesame three spots.

Chicken 1: By the Bridge

The first chicken is hiding just outside of town.

• From the hotel, head south and cross the first bridge that leads back into the main part of town.
• Once you cross the bridge, take an immediate right.
• Walk along the water's edge, and you will find the first chicken waitingnear the bank. You’ll see a wooden house on the opposite side of thewater.

Chicken 2: In Front of the Mayor's House

The second chicken is waiting for you in the northern part of town.

• From the hotel, make your way to the main town square.
• Head up the stairs and turn left. Keep going straight, and you'll soon see Mayor Felix's large, blue mansion.
• The second chicken is located right by the front door of the mansion. Ifyou get lost, remember that Mayor Felix and his daughter, Sophie, oftenhang out near their house in the evenings.

Chicken 3: Behind the Waterfall

The final chicken is in a slightly hidden spot on the western side of the map.

• Make your way toward your farm, but instead of crossing the bridge, head left towards the waterfall.
• Follow the path behind the waterfall.
• The final chicken is tucked away just behind the cascading water.

Quest Reward

Once you have found all three chickens, you can return to Kat. As she's atraveling merchant, she might be at the hotel or in the marketplace,depending on the day.

Speak to her again to complete the quest. As a reward, she will thank you for your help and, on the followingSaturday, she will set up her own stall at the Grand Bazaar. Her newstall provides a valuable service: the ability to rehome pets and animals you no longer want. This is the only way to get rid of unwantedanimals, making the completion of this quest essential for managing your farm.
