How to install mods in Sonic Racing CrossWorlds

How to Install and Use Mods in Sonic Racing Crossworlds

Currently, all mods for Sonic Racing Crossworlds are for the PC version only. As the game is not yet fully released, modding at this stage is generally safe, but be aware that developers may implement measures to restrict modding in the future to ensure fair play, particularly in online modes.There are two primary methods for installing mods, and the method you use depends on the specific requirements of the mod you've downloaded. Method 1: The Mods Folder

Place UE4SS Files: Navigate to the game's binaries folder: SonicRacingCrossworlds\ONTUNION\Binaries\Win64. Copy all the extracted files from the UE4SS archive and paste them into this directory.

Edit the Configuration File: Open the UE4SS-settings.ini file with a text editor like Notepad. Find the following lines and modify them as instructed:

• [EngineVersionOverride]
• MajorVersion = 5
• MinorVersion = 4
• ConsoleEnabled = 1

Place the Mod: Now, download your desired mod and place its files into the ue4ssMods folder, which should now be located inside the Binaries\Win64 directory. For example, the full path would be SonicRacingCrossworlds\ONTUNION\Binaries\Win64\ue4ssMods.

Launch the Game and Activate: Launch the game. Once in the main menu or in a race, press the ~ key (the tilde key, typically located below the Esc key) to open the developer console.

Enter Commands: In the console, type open pl_menu to access the modding menu or open pl_race to bring up the in-game modding menu during a race.
