Before you can wield the Curvesickle, you must first complete two critical tasks. This isn't an item found in a simple chest; it's earned through progression and exploration.
1. Acquire the Curveclaw Tool:
Your journey begins by securing the Curvesickle's predecessor, the Curveclaw. This initial tool is located deep within the Hunter's March region. To get there, navigate through the bone-white tunnels of The Marrow, heading to the upper-right sections. Your path will lead you to a formidable guardian—the Ant Guardian. This boss presents a significant challenge, especially for those who haven't yet acquired the dash ability. With the dash, you can expertly evade its assaults and strike during openings.
After your victory, progress to the right to meet the cartographer Shakra and find a Bench. A word of caution: this bench is booby-trapped! Disarm it by activating a lever to the left before resting to avoid a nasty surprise. From this safe point, head upwards and take the left passage to discover an NPC merchant named Mottled Skarr. The Curveclaw can be purchased here for Rosaries.
However, if you progress too far in the story, you may find this area changed. If Mottled Skarr is no longer available, don't despair. An alternative method exists. From the bench area, head up and find a passage on the left filled with enemies, including another Ant Guardian and a flying foe. Defeat them and venture left to find the Curveclaw waiting for you as a reward, free of charge.
Travel to Far Fields Bellway Station. Use the air stream to ascend to the higher platforms. Locate the Target Room. To your right, you'll notice a distinctive room marked by a target outfront. Inside, you'll find four hanging targets and a skittish,non-hostile bug who will vanish as you approach. Aim True. Equip your Curveclaw tool. Position yourself carefully and use it tostrike all four targets in a single, sweeping throw. This requiresprecise positioning but is not overly difficult. The Trade. Successfully hitting all targets will cause the shy bug to reappear. He will approach you and request your Curveclaw tool. Hand it over to him. Wait and Return. Leave the area entirely and rest at a nearby Bench to pass the time.When you return to the target room, you will find your reward—thesuperior Curvesickle—lying on the ground, ready to be claimed.
