The fourteenth season of Sea of Thieves focuses on sneaky tools and methods, such as getting onto ships with the grapple gun or shooting lethal Blowdarts from shadows. A plethora of Commendations, appropriately titled Pirates of Mischief, are available in the Making Mischief update for Sea of Thieves. Even though it's not possible to obtain all the Commendations right now, you might still want to know how to unlock them all for Pirates of Mischief.
Completing Commendations in Sea of Thieves, similar to those in Pirates of Mischief, can be rewarding in and of itself, but it also provides you tasks to work toward, which you can use to gain Disguises and other goodies.
How To Unlock All Pirates Of Mischief Commendations in Sea of Thieves?
In Sea of Thieves, you may locate the 42 Pirates of Mischief Commendations under the Bilge Rats tab in the Pirate Log menu, as shown above. Below is a table that lists all 42 Commendations along with their respective unlock methods. Having said that, certain Commendations, such as the Poisonous Pirate Commendation, are exclusive to Sea of Thieves in High Seas. According to the release notes for Sea of Thieves Season 14, several Commendations, such those pertaining to traps and dangling from ledges, will be available later in the season. However, not all Commendations are available at the moment:
Pirates of Mischief: Grapple Gun Accolades
- Pressgang Grappler: Hook a player from their ship onto yours using the Grapple Gun.
- Bony Boarder: Board a skeleton ship using the Grapple Gun.
- Return to Sender: Board an enemy ship and return to your ship using the Grapple Gun.
- Isle Hopper: Travel 1000 meters using the Grapple Gun.
- Governor of the Grapple Gun: Complete all Grapple Gun-related Commendations.
Admiralship for Blowpipe Darts in Pirates of Doom
Rusty Bucket Bay
- Objective: Use a Lure Dart to attract Gold Skeletons into the water.
- Diabolical Deviousness
- Complete the following Commendations:
Rusty Bucket Ray
- They Work For Me Now
- Pied Pirate Piper
Enticing Explosion - Enticing Explosion
- Objective: Hit a skeleton carrying an explosive barrel with a Lure Dart while using the Blowpipe. Repeat 25 times.
Pied Pirate Piper
- Objective: Get chased by five enemies for 10 seconds while playing music with a Lure Dart attached to you.
They Work For Me Now
- Objective: Use a Lure Dart to persuade enemies to destroy their captain.
Oceans of Venom
- Objective: Kill 15 Ocean Crawlers with Poisonous Darts.
Poisonous Pirate
- Objective: Poison other pirates or PVE enemies with Poison Darts 50 times.
Revenge at Last
- Objective: Kill 25 snakes with Poisonous Darts using the Blowpipe.
- Practically Poisonous in Every Way
- Complete the following Commendations:
Poisonous Pirate
- Oceans of Venom
The Power of Three
- Objective: Ignite a group of three or more enemies using only one Black Powder Dart while under the influence of a Lure Dart.
Bang-Bang-A-Boom
- Objective: Use a Black Powder Barrel to detonate one Gunpowder barrel.
Fire on Fire
- Objective: Ignite a Black Powder Dart using another Black Powder Dart.
Wash Out
- Objective: Use water to extinguish an enemy's Black Powder Dart.
Black Powder Hot Shot
Complete the following Commendations:
- The Power of Three
- Bang-Bang-A-Boom
- Fire on Fire
- Wash Out
Bewildering Blowpipes
- Objective: Complete all Black Powder, Poison, and Lure Dart Commendations.
Pirates of Mischief: Tips on Crouching and Disguising
This Commendation requires stealth and cunning. You'll need to sneak aboard enemy ships, both player-controlled and Skeleton, while remaining undetected.
Commendation Requirements
- Sneak Thief: Sneak onto an enemy player's ship and steal supplies while crouching.
- Skeleton Skulduggery: Sneak onto a Skeleton Ship while crouching and steal their supplies.
- Behind You!: Crouch near an enemy pirate for 10 seconds without being spotted.
- Comfortable Sneaker: Travel a distance of 1500 while crouching on enemy pirate or Skeleton Ships.
- Hidden in Plain Sight: While disguised, sneak for a distance of 50 while on an enemy player ship.
- Found You: Interact with or attack another player disguised as a barrel or chest 25 times, forcing them from hiding.
- Chest Buster: Disguise as a chest and be forced from hiding by an enemy pirate interaction.
- Broken Barrel: Disguise as a barrel and be forced from hiding by an enemy pirate interaction.

Keep Your Ships Honourable in Pirates of Chaos
- Hangin' On The Skelly Bone: Travel 100 meters while hanging from a Skeleton Ship.
- Hanging with the Enemy: Hang from all the hanging points on an enemy ship.
- Keep Me Hangin' On: Travel 1000 meters while hanging from an enemy pirate ship.
- Hung Out to Dry: Hang from shipwrecks at these islands: Discovery Ridge, Galleon's Grave, Morrow's Peak Outpost, Shipwreck Bay, Thieves Haven, and Covert Corsair.
Awards for Falling Into Traps in Pirates of Chaos
- Dance Off Danger: Load a trap with a Jigball and get at least two other pirates to dance.
- Secret Snare Setter: Defeat other enemies with buried traps.
- Red Alert Raider: Set and load a trap with a red flare on your ship and get another pirate player or enemy to trigger it.
- Trap Ease Artist: Disarm enemy traps.
- Pitfall Practitioner: Complete all other trap Commendations.
A Variety of 'All' Accolades in Pirates of Trouble
To earn the Pirate of Magnificent Mischief commendation, you must complete all commendations related to the following:
- Lure Darts: Successfully use lure darts to attract enemies.
- Poison Darts: Poison enemies with poison darts.
- Black Powder Darts: Use black powder darts to create explosions.
- Crouching: Successfully crouch and avoid detection.
- Disguises: Use disguises to blend in with your surroundings.
- Hanging Points: Utilize hanging points to navigate the environment.
- Traps: Set up and activate various traps.
