To enter the Living World in search of Safi's camera, which is at the end of Chapter 2, head to the spot just past Moses' office. You can still enter his office afterward, where he'll be building a telescope; speaking with him yields some hints about where Safi might have left her camera. If you are interested in getting a specific idea of where he could be storing it in the Dead World, you may want to ask him if he has any stashes for contraband goods.

Though he keeps it in from maintenance, he will admit to having an electric kettle. But before he can give him a look, the telescope almost falls on him so Max asks if she can help. Of course she does; Moses has been waiting for her to find an Allen wrench so that he can show her where he hides the kettle.

How to Find an Allen Wrench?

There are two places within Moses's office that allow you to switch between dimensions. He has two places where he can be upstairs, next to the counters, or right behind him at work with a telescope. Go to one of them to head to the Dead World and obtain the Allen Wrench.

Once you regain control of Max, after a brief cutscene you will find yourself once again with your back to the door. The Allen Wrench is simply sitting on a counter in the middle of the office, so you need only approach it. Grab it, head back to the Realm of the Living, and be on your merry way to hand it over to Moses.

With it, he can finally repair his telescope, and even point out to you where he's hidden his kettle. The key will unlock a small cabinet that rests beside his desk. Luckily for you, he leaves the key on the counter; getting it will permit you to return to the Dead World. When you get there, unlock the cabinet and find a note inside that suggests the camera is hidden under a safe.

How to Find the Saiph?

To begin the search for the "safe," you will again have to seek out Moses in the Living World for an idea of where it is. He will say the room is not safe but that he had a feeling Max was asking about the star known as Saiph. Max then realizes that if she wants to locate Safi's camera, she needs to find the star.

Head back to the Dead World, and go upstairs to find the Saiph Star. Find the Star Projector-it should be on the counter near the railing-and turn it on. Once you've got the stars aligned with the painting on the wall, go back downstairs-Max will stop looking through the projector once you've had it on long enough.

Once in alignment, it's time to locate the star: it's at the very bottom of Orion, on the far left-hand side of the wall. After she's viewed it, Max will notice a camera that's been hidden behind a wall grate, but she can't get to it if you don't successfully sneak past Detective Alderman.

Detour: How to Sneak Past Detective Alderman

Even though Max is already in the room, Detective Alderman is going to sneak in just as she finds the camera. Your first order of business should be Returning to the Living World; you'll find a point to do so close to the wall grate. Once you've done that, Max will mention the need to distract Alderman long enough for her to grab the camera and make a break for it.

To do this, you can pick up the annoying little jingle doll on top of the Christmas tree in the Living World. Remove it from the tree, then utilize the transition point here to go back to the Dead World upstairs. When Alderman becomes distracted and starts to look, Max will drop the jingle doll here. Make your way back to the Living World ASAP before he makes it to the top floor.

You can press the pulse button- E on PC-, while in the other dimension to see where he is. Once you've entered the Living World head back to the camera position on the lower level and hit the button to flip to the Dead World. Luckily for Max she'll discover a new power which allows her to quickly move the delivery boxes out of the way so she can access it.

Make one final transition to the Living World to get out of the office as soon as you get the camera. Return to Moses by tracing your steps back to the exterior point of entry into the office, then re-enter the Dead World. In Life is Strange: Double Exposure you have just stolen Safi's camera and most probably prevented Moses from going to jail.
