  • Island Infiltration: Locate a ship anchored at an island or Outpost. Carefully maneuver your vessel to the island's opposite side. Once ashore, quickly bury a piece of treasure while remaining undetected.
  • Collaborative Commendation: Establish a temporary alliance with another crew through emotes, text/voice chat, or commands.  Offer to help them with their Commendations in exchange for their presence during your treasure burial. It's untested whether this functions within an official Alliance, but an informal agreement suffices.

Burying the Treasure:


  • 1. Place the designated treasure on the ground.
  • 2. Equip your shovel using the Equipment Radial or Inventory.
  • 3. Focus your character's gaze on the item.
  • 4. Hold the designated button (Left Trigger on default settings) to initiate the burying action when prompted.
  • 5. Continue holding the button after each animation until the treasure is entirely concealed.
