Metaphor ReFantazio dares players to travel across the world in search of every and any advantage as they attempt to rescue a prince and kingdom from a threatening curse. The evil powers, of course, will not sit idly by as you attempt to accomplish your task. This, naturally, means that there won't be any lack of enemies, including some really tough bosses, to defeat.
As the story unfolds, you'll be called upon to find a means to lift the curse laid upon the prince by infiltrating the Charadrius, which just so happens to be Louis's Gauntlet Runner. The task of making your way through the giant vehicle in silence is tough, but Glodell and his dog, Hector, will soon be ending your every step. This is important because defeating Louis will prevent him from notifying anyone about your preparations, which starts the boss fight.
How to Beat Glodell in Metaphor ReFantazio?
This boss fight in Metaphor ReFantazio will be a bit different, since Glodell has taken hostage a singer and undercover agent named Junah. You'll have to endure his constant attacks until the protagonist can jump in, blocking the dog's attack toward you. Rest assured, this is part of the plot, and you really shouldn't be taking it to heart. Junah soon releases her Archetype power, the Masked Dancer, and joins you in combat, evening the scale between the two of you.
It will still require skill in order to conquer Glodell, but you can train hard in beforehand. If you want your protagonist to have the high ground, it is good to grant an archetype to your character that manipulates elements. A Wizard or a Magic Seeker will do you good. It is due to the reason fire has absolutely no effect on Glodell and wind may harm the dog Hector.
Warfare Planning
With all of your pre-fight planning, when the real battle begins you will be in a better position where you will focus your attention on killing one enemy at a time instead of focusing on trying to kill both, besides Hector is the first one you should go after; as you do so, punish the hound with a vicious spell of wind magic while keeping a Turn Icon. That way, it won't be able to take advantage of Glodell's buffs, making the fight more complex than it needs to be. Once Hector is dealt with, you will have to fight Glodell-considerably easier to deal with. Exploit his weakness to fire by hitting him with fire magic or Junah's Infernal Vortex for a really strong hit to give yourself some breathing space. This fight is easily won with enough MP by focusing on a single target. Other than the usual experience, magic, and reeve drops, you receive a Magician White Mask for defeating the duo that you can later make use of.
