This time we are back with a guide with the aim of explaining How to Use Drones Satisfactorily.
You won't be seeing new challenges in Satisfactory on your first playtime due to the design nature of the game. The vast majority of them revolve around the need to gather raw materials from nodes that are geographically far from you at the beginning of the game. Learn about the many branches of transportation technology, including driveable explorers, railroads, and-most importantly-drones. This is how you can make use of these drones in Satisfactory-they represent the cutting edge of technology when it comes to transporting resources.
Drakes and drone ports are what you need to make transportation with drones happen. You need to automate the ports and drones with as minimum resources as possible because this will take a number of materials. Everything you will need to build a single drone is here:
To build a drone port, you'll need the following items: 20×Massive Modular Structure 25-inch high-speed connector × fifty-inch aluminum casing × fifty-inch aluminum sheet 10×Unit for Radio Control Radia Control Units and- quite probably- high output aluminum casing, too, are some of the harder-toautorelease resources. As such, you shouldn't unlock the use of drones and drone ports until you have the resources to make ample use of them.
Craft a drone port and gather the materials required, then place a drone upon the drone port. You have to connect this drone port with an electric wire, same for the rest of your designed drone port places. This drone port receives instructions to deliver all of its products to another location upon an input, and vice versa.
Even after these are done, you will have to keep in mind giving your drones fuel to keep them flying. You can feed your drone with different types of fuel, but always make sure that it is the one working best with your setup. Once you have the fuel ready, here is how you set the drones up for unlimited fuel.
When facing the drone port, you can see its two inputs and an output. The "fuel" goes into the input that has the fuel symbol on top of it. Attach this input to your fuel supply. Because of this you'll have to package any liquid fuel before it can be used by drones.
By this stage of the game, you want to have a fully automated battery production line with all of your Batteries feeding into the port. You can actually have one line of batteries for many drone-ports by using a splitter when attaching the conveyor belt into the drone's port input.
That is when things start to get complicated: what happens when one drone port runs out of fuel and another is not close? In order to win the game, you need to funnel all your drones to a point where your main base is and make sure that is the only fuel source. They should refuel themselves as needed if you attach a conveyor belt line to the fuel input of each drone port-you should use a splitter to make a single belt for all the ports.
If you want to move resources from A to B you will need to prepare your drone port configuration so that the main base-in other words an airfield-contains a number of drone ports.
This is what it might look like:
There are lots of drone ports in the main base for the following.
The main reason to make plenty of drone ports should be enough: most of the players will shift resources to use in the line of manufacturing. You should also make several ports and drones since blocking those ports will destroy your entire production line.
Turbofuel will suffice for the first handful of drone ports, but once you have twenty or so at your primary base, you'll want to switch over to batteries or rocketfuel with high production. Assuming you're not interested in taking a risk and powering your drones with radioactive Uranium Fuel Rods, these are your best bets. If you don't want to be confused while viewing a map and seeing all the drone ports, name each one. You could describe its function as something like: "Port - Packaged Nitrogen Gas to the main base".
So we come to the end of this explanatory guide, now you know How to Use Drones Satisfactorily, just do it and enjoy it to the fullest.
