How To Get The Zipline
How to Unlock the Zipline:
- 1. Research Progression: Enter the MAM research tree and go into the Caterium branch.
- 2. Prerequisite Research: Do your research into the processing of Caterium Ore and further production of Caterium Ingot. Also, unlock Quickwire via the Caterium research line.
- 3. Zipline Research: Once Quickwire is unlocked, you will have to invest 100 Quickwire and 50 Cables into a dedicated Zipline research node in the Caterium tree. This three-second research will teach you how to craft Ziplines.
Crafting the Zipline:
1. Equipment Workshop: Head to the Equipment Workshop, the crafting station designated for Ziplines.
2. Requirements for Crafting: For every craft of a Zipline, you'll require:
- 1 Xeno-Zapper
- 30 Quickwire
- 3 Iron Rods
- 10 Cables
Using the Zipline:
- 1. Equipping the Zipline: Characterize the Zipline in your inventory into one of the hand slots.
- 2. Zipline Engagement: While flying, maintain the left-click function near a Power Pole cable. This will engage the Zipline feature, shooting you across the cable in the direction you are facing.
- 3. Directional Momentum: Zipline exploits gravity to its benefit. You'll gain speed going down a slope and lose speed going up, but the momentum will keep you going fast enough for some efficient traversal.
- 4. Dismount and Continue Travel: By default, when you reach the end of a cable segment, you are dismounted from the Zipline. For continuous travel, you may want to try using Wall Outlets that can be purchased from the Awesome Shop. These outlets connect Power Line segments together seamlessly to allow for travel on the Zipline uninterrupted.
Advanced Technique: Power Tower Network for Long-Distance Travel:
But what really opens up the utility of Ziplines is the Tier 4 Milestone called "Expanded Power Infrastructure," which unlocks the Power Towers. Power Towers have a dramatically larger radius than Power Poles, allowing you to build very extensive networks of Ziplines that make for extremely fast travel over great distances in your base.
This is all you need to know about How To Get The Zipline in Satisfactory, following this guide will surely make it much easier for you to unlock this incredible equipment that will undoubtedly help you when transporting yourself around the world. You will only need to be very attentive while reading the instructions provided and enjoying the elements that Satisfactory has to offer.
