Forging Sanity in Insanity: How to Get the Madness Armor in Oblivion Remastered

To get your hands on the Madness Armor in Oblivion Remastered, you'll first need to start the Shivering Isles DLC. You can access the expansion as soon as you exit the sewer tutorial area, but it's highly recommended to level up and acquire decent gear before venturing into the Shivering Isles.

Travel to the Strange Door: Head to the Strange Door Point of Interest (POI), which is located to the east of Bravil.

Interact and Wait: After a peculiar interaction with some NPCs near the door, wait for 24 in-game hours.

Enter the Portal: Once the time has passed, enter the portal to reach the Shivering Isles.

Head to Crucible: Upon arriving in the new zone, travel to the city of Crucible.

Visit Cutter: Enter the Cutter's Weapons workshop.

Obtain the Recipe List: Speak with Cutter. She will give you a list of recipes for gear that can be crafted with Madness Ore. The armor pieces you see on this list are part of the Madness Armor Set.

Gather Madness Ore: You will need a specific amount of Madness Ore to craft each piece of the armor.

The Vein of Insanity: Where to Find Madness Ore

One of the best places to farm Madness Ore is within the Blackroot Lair, located in the Low Road area within the Shivering Isles DLC of Oblivion Remastered.

Enter the Lair: Head to the Blackroot Lair and enter.

Explore the Caverns: You will discover long and winding interconnected caverns filled with Grummite enemies.

Defeat the Grummite: Eliminate every Grummite you see as you traverse the cave. Each one has a chance to drop Madness Ore.

Seek Variety: Continue deeper into the cave and defeat the different variants of the Grummite enemies to obtain at least 16 Madness Ore. This amount should be sufficient to craft all the armor pieces and the shield.

Return to Cutter: Once you have collected enough Madness Ore, return to Cutter in Crucible.

Forging Madness: Crafting the Madness Armor Set

Upon returning to Cutter's weapon shop in Crucible, select the "Forge Armor" option to begin crafting the Madness Armor in Oblivion Remastered. Youwill need to craft the individual pieces using the specified amount ofMadness Ore indicated for each one:
