How to Get a Fishing Pole and Fish in Moonstone Island

In this guide, we will walk you through the process of getting a fishing pole and casting your line into the crystal-clear waters of Moonstone Island. As you stroll along the beach of Moonstone Island, you'll notice a distinctive feature that catches your eye - a giant golden fish marking the entrance to the Fishing Shop. This is where you'll find Tobin, the friendly shopkeeper who can provide you with a fishing rod. Head inside and strike up a conversation with Tobin to get started on your fishing adventure.

Once you're inside the Fishing Shop, you'll see Tobin waiting behind the counter. Approach him and select the "Shop" option in the dialogue menu. Tobin will present you with a variety of items, but our focus is on the Fishing Rod. It's essential to acquire this tool to begin your fishing journey. Select the "Purchase" command, and the fishing rod will be yours for 200 coins. Don't worry; you can easily earn back the coins by selling the fish you catch or other valuable items like gems, ore, rocks, or grass.

Now that you have your fishing rod, it's time to equip it and get ready to cast your line. Open your inventory and navigate to your tool wheel. Place the fishing rod in an easily accessible slot for quick access during your fishing sessions. Remember, you can switch between equipable objects using the arrow keys or the corresponding controller buttons.

With your fishing rod equipped, it's time to cast your line into the water and wait for a bite. Walk to the water's edge and press and hold the cast button (usually the left mouse button or a designated controller button). As you hold the cast button, you'll notice a dotted line extending into the water. This line represents the path your bait will take. Keep an eye out for an exclamation point that appears along the dotted line. Release the cast button at precisely that moment to maximize your chances of attracting a fish.

Once you've successfully cast your line, a circle with a fish shadow inside will appear on one side of the screen. This circle indicates the location of the fish you've attracted. To reel it in, aim a smaller circle over the fish's shadow and align it as accurately as possible. As you hold the reel button, a green meter will start to fill. The objective is to fill the meter entirely without allowing it to overflow or empty. This requires a delicate balance of skill and timing.
