Chapter 10 of Monument Valley 3, titled The Sub Rosa, marks the conclusion of Noor's storyline until fresh content is released. Completing this level unlocks nature’s light, essential for reviving the Lighthouse. However, its intricate optical illusion puzzles may pose a challenge for some players. Continue exploring this guide to discover the solution for The Sub Rosa Puzzle (Level 10) in Monument Valley 3.
How To Solve The Sub Rosa Puzzle in Monument Valley 3?
Monument Valley 3 houses The Sub Rosa, comprising four different sections, each offering a unique puzzle. Learn how to solve each quickly.
Section One: The Timeless Location
Chapter 10 opens with a very interesting riddle about some great white flowers and an ancient monument. The puzzle requires you to place the leaves of the flower so that you create a path that can lead you up to the top of the building, which has access via a monument-looking pillar.
Once you reach level 10, you'll find Noor standing on the edge of a cliff with rain and fog all around her in an intoxicating atmosphere. Simply push the button on the floor, and in no time, you'll reach the ancient site. Move up and turn on the right pillar with three bright orange circles, which opens up the huge flower unfolding its beautiful sky blue leaves down the path. Strategically place the leaves so they link the lower and upper platforms together seamlessly. Next, overlap the leaves and head through the door above.
You will head up into the second building. Fully raise the pillar on the left to make another leaf track and head upwards. This time, the thorn of the flower will block your way. Rearrange the leaves to fit the platform, climb the stairs, readjust the leaves, and head into the upper room for access.
Remember that the leaves can only be fine-tuned while on the stem of the giant flower (blue area); otherwise, it won't work.
Finally, you'll reach the final building with two beautiful giant flowers and adjusters. These flowers have some prickly challenges, so you'll want to interact with their leaves a bit more carefully. Start with the left flower, which has a thorn, and match the very bottom leaves of both flowers to the right flower. For a balanced composition, place the leaves of the right flower in an elegant half-circle. Step onto its stem, matching up, once again, the leaves of both flowers seamlessly. Shift the left flower sideways, pull both flowers upwards entirely, and follow the path along the circular path of the left flower to move above the stem. Trace the leafy path to the second flower and go through the doorway at the top.
Section Two: Discovering the Ancient Structure
The second part reveals another peaceful puzzle decorated with soft pastel colors, welcoming serenity into your journey. Activate all three floor buttons and find your way out through the pink door at the top.
- Start by standing on the soft pastel green track in front of you, and move the block with three circles on it down. Move over to the purple block platform in front of you and move that block east. Move back to the pastel green track, place it with the first button on the right, and tap the button.
- This will add some new objects to the scene. Proceed with the block across, then turn the yellow gear in the middle to the right and head towards the pastel purple base. Pull the block with three red circles up and the gear to the left. Climb the purple wall now and hit the second button at the top.
- Head up the stairs to the other side of the wall, turn the block above, head down to the soft pastel purple base beneath the gear, lower the adjustable block, turn the cog to the left, and hit the third button on the monument's petite balcony.
- Head back down to the bottom of the gear along the pastel green track. Turn the cog right and pull the movable block up. Up, up until you can't anymore, and finally, head to the pink door at the top.
Section 3: Historic Landmarks
This section has two interesting puzzles, each with beautifully designed architectural elements. In this, as Noor, the first task is to turn on all five light green buttons and exit through the top pink door.
- Proceed to the second purple track, use the movable block with three light green circles to align the structure, and press the first floor button on the right.
- Move the gear to the right, go up the purple bridge, pull the movable block down, head toward the scared geometric figure to the right, move the cog to the left, run toward the geometric figure on the left, and press the button up to the second floor.
- Now, turn the gear to the left and head to press the button on the wall.
- Immediately head to the bridge, lift the block up and hit the center button.
- Rotate the cog rightward, turn the slide on, let the block down, head forward and hit the last button.
- A door will appear. Walk to the very edge of the slide, raise the block, off, spin the gear left, walk along the slide and jump up through the pink door above.
Get ready to uncover the secrets of the Ancient Place-a world full of the splendours of nature. You can proceed by pressing two buttons and entering the floating landmark. Certain fans might find this part quite complicated since the optical illusion would be quite hard to decipher. Using a good understanding of Sacred Geometry will make this part easy, just:
- Move the lavender wheel right, cross the slide, and turn left to make a circle. Go to the geometric sign that matches the one on the ground next to the wheel, head right, and push the button.
- Position yourself on the second geometric sign, create an optical circle, and tap on the corresponding sign located at the bottom of the circle. Upon arrival, shift the bridge one step to the left, proceed forward, and engage the button.
- Finally, return to the bridge. Click the sign that matches the lone building on the left. Turn the wheel left one click to complete the alignment of the bridge. Step back on the bridge one step, turn the wheel left one more time, and click the door on the other side to enter.
Section Four: The Illumination of Nature
To solve the final part of the Sub Rosa Puzzle in Monument Valley 3, you must use the light within the staff given to you by your master to light up the Lighthouse. By solving all parts of the puzzle, Noor will end up near the Nomad's Flower. Move forward and interact with the flower. It will light up, similar to what happened in the part with the mentor. Complete Chapter 10 of Monument Valley 3 by creating a sacred geometric figure and filling the staff with light.
