Then you will have to turn and move away from the altar until you find the corridor that has the hole in the ceiling, jump to find a door with bars and another cube along with a target, which you will have to shoot to open the door.
Hit the cube with the ax to reduce its size and make it pass through the door and take it to the other pressure plate, where you will have to hit it again to bring it back to its original size.
