Securing a victory royale in Fortnite often comes down to having the right gear. In Chapter Six, Season Four, one of the most powerful ways to get an edge is by acquiring Boons. These special items grant you unique buffs and abilities that can turn the tide of a battle. Fortnite: All Shock N’ Awesome Boons and Their Effects

You can equip up to one of each unique Boon, which means you can stack all their abilities if you're lucky enough to find them all. Here are the seven Boons you can find and their effects:

Boon	Effect
Agile Aiming Boon	When aiming down sights, your weapon spread and recoil are slightly reduced. You also maintain more movement speed.
Extended Magazine Boon	Increases the clip size of all your weapons.
Storm Forecast Boon	The next storm circle is always visible to you.
Super Soldier Boon: Rank B	Decreases your energy consumption while sprinting.
Super Soldier Boon: Rank A	Increases your reload speed.
Super Soldier Boon: Rank S	Reduces weapon spread and recoil.
Super Soldier Boon: Rank S+	Enhances your sprint speed and grants you unlimited energy.

How to Get Boons in Fortnite

Boons are not hard to come by, but they require you to engage with the new gameplay mechanics introduced in Chapter Six, Season Four. You can find them in a variety of ways:

OXR Chests: These are special rectangular chests filled with useful loot for fighting the bug infestation. They are most commonly found at OXR bases and outposts.
OXR Rank: The Super Soldier Boons are directly tied to your OXR rank. The higher your rank, the better the Boon you can unlock. This is a great way to guarantee you eventually get some of the most powerful buffs.
Drop Pods: These loot containers drop when you increase your OXR rank, but you can also find ones left behind by other players. Always check them for a chance to find a Boon inside.
Hive Stashes: These orange sacs are heavily guarded by bugs but contain a chest that may hold a Boon. You'll need to fight to open it, so come prepared with a solid weapon.
Special Objectives: Completing important tasks, such as defending an outpost from a bug invasion, can sometimes reward you with a Boon.
