How to get to St. Paul's Sanctuary in Fallout London

Fidei Defensor forms a part of the quest line with Thameshaven and Archie. You have one main objective: reach the Sanctuary in the Cathedral of St Paul. In this quest, you will be able to recruit Archie as a companion and make important choices regarding his fate later. Below is information on the location of the Sanctuary, Violent Violet strategies, and Archie choices.

How to recruit Archie?



After defeating the boss in the Monument Lab and finishing your conversation with Ferryman, you will unlock the "Lands of the Seraph" quest. For more information, refer to the "Where to Find Archie in Rotherhithe?" page. Upon completion, a new quest titled "Fidei Defensor" will automatically be added to your journal. During your discussion with him, Archie will approach you once again to ask permission that he may fight as your companion. You have two options:
  • 1. Agree to Let Him Tag Along: For this, you'll have to speak to him again about the issue once you reach St. Paul's Sanctuary.
  • 2. Refuse His Proposition: You can say no by telling him that it would be too perilous for him.

We suggest that you accept Archie's offer to travel together; at least until you reach the Sanctuary, where he could prove useful. You can only have one companion at a time in Fallout London. If you accept Archie while already accompanied by Churchill the dog, he will return to where you found him—to be more specific, to the Prilladog Food Factory.

How to get to St. Paul's Sanctuary in Fallout London?


The Cathedral and the Sanctuary lie northwest of London Bridge. You can start from the Monument you visited during the previous quest. Knowing how the streets cross with each other, you shouldn't have problems orienting yourself to reach the destination. You will find the closed gates of the sanctuary protected by some armed men on your arrival to the point of interest indicated on the map. On your way there, speak with the cleric who goes by the name the Frenchman. He'll let you know that new refugees can't currently be accepted into the asylum because bandits have lately been very active in the area.


As you are speaking, suddenly, the conversation will be disrupted by an attack of bandits on the sanctuary. Help the defenders of the sanctuary to repel this attack, and then return to talk with the Frenchman. He will ask you to kill the leader of the local gang, Violent Violet. Accept the quest, and start searching for this woman.


¿How to find  Violent Violet?



Violent Violet's gang is based east of the Sanctuary, only a few streets away. While going to it, watch out for a building full of radioactive waste next to the bandit camp. The area is patrolled by two quite deadly Mr. Handy robots. Several bandits and dogs guard the entrance to the gang's hideout, all of whom you will have to kill before you can enter.


Inside the room, there's a wide area with enemies all around. If you are using a firearm as your weapon, you should stand in the anteroom of the central hall and fight off the thugs who have mostly simple close-range combat. Secure the central hall by proceeding further into the lair. Find the door at one corner of this room.


Go downstairs, killing all the bandits you meet on your way. All the way to the bottom—basement—awaits their leader, Violent Violet. Be careful looking around the staircase—right behind the wall stands an automated turret. You can destroy it using the VATS system with the Q key.


Now, after you kill off all the bandits, return back to the gates of the Sanctuary. At your return, you'll have another ambush from the bandits. Defend yourself with success, and talk to the Frenchman. He will thank you and ask you to come inside the Sanctuary.


Once you've passed beyond the gates of the Sanctuary, Archie will stop you to have a conversation that will give you a choice on what happens to him. You can ask him to travel with you, or you can ask that he stay in the relative safety of the Sanctuary. If you ask him to stay, then Archie is no longer a party member, although you can always return to the Sanctuary at any point in the game and speak with him to recruit him again.


How to Find Whaler?



Before completing the quest, you have to speak with Bishop Whaler, who is in the cathedral. Just enter the building and follow mission objective markers. Bishop Whaler can be found standing at the pulpit, by a ladder leading to it. Approach him and initiate a conversation – he will thank you for the help in fighting the bandits and grant you a nice reward. He will also tell you some really important stuff about Lazarus. This will complete the quest Fidei Defensor if all options of dialogue are exhausted.
